by the next morning, everyone was either talking about Ron and Audrey, or the task.
which was today.
"you wanna sit with me or your friends for breakfast?" Ron asked as the two of them walked to the great hall.
"would you totally hate me if i said my friends?" she said, unsure of what how he would react.
in all honesty, she wanted to tell Luna and Cho all about yesterday.
"of course not," he smiled, grabbing onto the girls hand. "as long as you promise to eat one meal with me a day,"
"promise." she smiled, squeezing his hand.
they walked through the crowded corridors, the great hall starting to sneak up on them.
"did i tell you how nice you look today?" Ron asked as he looked down to her, causing Audrey's face to get all hot.
"no, you haven't." she smiled, looking up at him.
"ah," he sighed, "well you look really nice."
"thank you, Ronald," she said, her stomach full of butterflies.
"you know i hate when everyone but you call me," he laughed, knowing what she was trying to do.
"damnit, i'll have to figure something else out then." shrugged, walking into the great hall.
"ill see you after?" he asked, stopping in his tracks.
she nodded, kissing him on the cheek before walking to her table.
she sat down with Cho and Luna, ready to tell them everything.
"so its official now?" Cho smiled as Audrey sat in front of her.
"it is," Audrey said, before explaining yesterday to them, leaving out no details.
as she went through the day, she watched her friends faces to all of it, seeming starstruck.
"so, yeah." she shrugged, taking a bite of her bacon. "he's my boyfriend."
"your life is like a romcom!" Cho exclaimed, even though her and Cedric had the perfect relationship.
"how has dean reacted to all of this?" she asked, pilling more strawberries on her plate. "i mean, he kinda called it."
"to my knowledge, he hasn't reacted." Audrey explained, "he's basically with lavender now anyway."
"not anymore," Luna chimed in, "Ginny said they were fighting in Gryffindor common room for hours yesterday, and that lavenders been walking around crying."
Audrey looked back to the Gryffindor table, and saw lavender crying onto her empty plate, already looking at her.
"she doesn't look happy," Cho muttered, watching the girl.
"she can't possibly blame me," Audrey said as she turned back to Cho. "i mean, he was my boyfriend."
"skank," Cho whispered, watching as Parvati Patil comforted her.
the triwizard task was right after breakfast, so the moment it ended the entire school rushed out of the great hall.
as Audrey walked towards the doors, her eyes searched for Ron.
"Rey!" Ron exclaimed as he made his way to her, gaining her attention.
"hi Ronnie," she smiled, and he blushed.
he was really starting to like Audrey calling him that, or Audrey talking to him in general.
he slipped his hand over hers, so she couldn't get lost in the crowd.
they kept walking, and as they got outside the crowd thinned, Audrey and Ron hanging back a bit so they could be alone.
"so, are you going home for new years?" Ron asked, looking down at her.
Dumbledore was allowing any kid to go home tomorrow, as no one did because of the dance and task.
"no, i decided i would just stay," she shrugged, "i figured the twins would throw a party or something,"
"they're actually going home, we all are." he said, referring to him, his siblings, harry, and Hermione.
"my parents are on holiday, visiting my brother Charlie in Romania." he explained, "so Fred and George decided to throw a party there instead."
Audrey nodded along, to show that she was listening.
"and i wanted to know if you'd stay at the burrow with us?" he asked, Audrey's heart skipping a beat.
"i didn't think you'd wanna be alone, and like i said, my parents won't be home so you won't stress about impressing them," he explained, "plus, i really wanna kiss you on new years. but if you don't wanna, i totally understand."
"Ron, i'd love to come." she smiled, as they approached the black lake.
"great,"
A/N: this seems so much harder to write now that they're together i'm not sure why.
