"bye isa, write if you need anything at all." Audrey said as she hugged her cousin tightly. "i will."

"when is Quincy coming to get you?" she asked, Quincy is Isa's muggle best friend from preschool, who happily offered to let isa stay at her house.

"ten minutes," isa said, looking at the clock behind Audrey.

"okay," she sighed as she let go, " i love you."

"i love you more."

Audrey smiled as she grabbed the campus, which was secretly a porkey.

her body twisted and turned before ending up in her dorm room.

she sighed as she looked around her empty dorm, no luna in sight.

she sat her bag on her bed while fighting off the urge to crawl into bed and sleep, but instead put her robes on and went to breakfast.

she walked quietly through the halls with her head low, blending in with the rest of her classmates.

she sat down at the end of Ravenclaw table, away from anyone she knew.

she pilled fruit and a bagel, spreading strawberry cream cheese on top.

suddenly dean was sitting next to her, pushing away the first year sitting next to her.

"hi dean," she smiled, they hadn't spoken since they're date, they had both been busy with quidditch and school, and now lacy.

"where were you?" he said quickly, rather passive.

"i- i had to go home for a day," she spoke, remembering the events of yesterday.

"why didn't you tell me?" his brows knitted together, "i was worried about you Audrey,"

"it was spontaneous," she said, "i had a family emergency," she muttered, she wasn't really ready to talk about it.

lacy still hadn't woke up, and it was eating Audrey alive.

"you should've told me," he said firmly, "dean, i don't owe you anything."

"excuse me?" his brows furrowed again as he frowned, "i had a family emergency, and we're not together, i owe you no explanation."

"yes you do!" he exclaimed, getting more annoyed by the second.

"no dean, i don't. you haven't even spoken to me since our date!"

"you haven't spoken to me either!"

"my aunt was crippled!" Audrey said much louder then she wanted to, gaining attention from classmates around her.

"she's in a coma dean." Audrey spat, picking up her plate.

"Audrey wait!" he explained, "fuck you dean." she said, turning her head over her shoulder to make eye contact.

Audrey quickly regretted not getting into bed like she had wanted.

why couldn't dean understand? it's not like he owned her.

Audrey made her way to care of magical creatures, one of her favorite classes, ginny at her side.

"so, she really won't ever be able to walk again?" ginny asked gently. "no, i've been researching for a magical way to fix it, but it's all so risky, and my aunts a muggle."

"i'm so sorry Audrey," ginny said as she rubbed Audreys shoulder.

"today we are going to be learning about, blast ended skrewt!" hagrid's exclaimed, gaining the classes attention. "now everyone choose a partner,"

"hey rey," Audrey turned around to see Ron towering over her, "be my partner?" he asked quietly.

"hey she's mine!" ginny replied almost instantly.

"oh cmon gin," Audrey looked at her, "share me."

"whatever where's nev," she scoffed, turning away from Ron and Audrey, "fucking rey.." she mocked quietly.

"so, is your aunt um, okay?" Ron said as they walked to they're skrewt.

"you don't need to walk on eggshells around me Ron, i'm okay." she sighed, "she's in a coma right now, and she won't ever walk again. but she's alive."

"oh," he said looking at Audrey with worrisome eyes.

"you know, this things are scary but kinda, cute?"
she said changing the subject swiftly.

"cute? are you crazy?" he asked shocked coated in his voice, "maybe a little bit,"
