Audrey woke up the next morning, which was really afternoon, with a raging migraine.
the white snow from her window making her eyes burn as she tried to wake up.
she sat up, and found her dorm was empty.
which was surprising as Luna had gotten back after Audrey, but then again she was sober.
she crawled out of bed, leaving it messy and unmade.
her hair was still curled for the spell she used yesterday, so she just brushed it out.
she did light makeup, concealer to hid her large eye bags, blush, mascara and eye brow gel.
she slipped on jeans, and a oversized white sweater, since they were technically on Christmas break and didn't have class.
it was almost lunchtime, and Audrey was starving.
but she didn't know if she could get through sitting in the loud great hall with this horrible headache.
so, she decided to go see madam pomfrey.
Audrey thought she might turn her down, knowing it was a hangover, but it was the only thing she knew to do.
"how may i help you, Audrey?" she asked as Audrey walked through the hospital wing door.
"i just wanted to know if you had any pain medication? i've been having migraines lately, i think it's stress." she lied, picking at her nails.
"you and him both," she scoffed, pointing to the blonde boy sitting on a hospital bed. "i'll be back."
Audrey stood by the door as Pomfrey walked into the storage room, presumably for medication of some sort.
"hangover?" draco asked in a whisper.
"mhm," she hummed, not moving.
"same here, you know you should really come to a slytherin party." he shrugged, "they're much better they're Gryffindors."
"i've been to one," she nodded, an annoyed expression on her face. "they're subpar at best."
"subpar?" he muttered in confusion.
"right, you two take this." madam pomfrey said as she swung the door open, carrying small amounts of a yellow liquid.
she handed Audrey hers, and then Draco.
they both took it like a shot, out of habit.
"oh great heavens," pomfrey sighed as she observed.
"thanks pomfrey," Audrey said, feeling her headache slip away.
she pushed the hospital wing door open, and left as it swung behind her.
"hey hold on," Draco said as he tried to keep up with her.
"what do you want malfoy?" she sighed, rolling her eyes as he made it to her.
"i heard you and dean broke up," he said, a smirk on his face.
wow news travels fast.
"and that's your business, why?" she asked, looking up at the boy.
"because now, you have no reason to not go out with me." he smiled, his blonde hair reflecting off the lights.
"i could think of many reasons," she laughed, she still didn't understand what was going on with Draco lately.
"oh yeah? like what." he rolled his eyes.
"your vile, your a bully," she listed off, "oh- and don't let me forget, parkinson? you know, your girlfriend."
"pansy's just a friend," he lied, they were caught making out at the ball just last night.
"uh huh," she said, as they arrived at the great hall.
they walked inside together, Audrey not thinking anything of it.
Ron instantly caught her eye, and her stomach churned at the thought of trying to figure out they're relationship.
she smiled at the red head, waving happily.
but he didn't return it, he watched as she took next to the ferret, waving at him.
but he didn't wave back.
he looked to his plate, using his fork to pick through his food.
Audrey felt her heart break, as he slipped through her fingertips.
"oh i get it," Draco said, "your fucking weaselbe."
"you have no idea what your talking about, now leave me alone." she said, storming off to Ravenclaw table.
when she got there, she found ginny, cho, and luna all sitting together.
which was weird, since ginny had never sat at Ravenclaw.
what was even weirder was that all three girls were staring at her as she approached the table, or maybe it was the way they were staring.
"hey," she said as she sat next to Cho, Ginny and Luna in front of them.
"hm," Ginny hummed as she pretended to fill her plate.
"hello," Luna said, looking anywhere but at Audrey.
she had a suddenly realized, remembering what she had told Cho the night before.
"Cho," Audrey sighed, looking to the raven haired girl. "what did you do?"
"she told us!" Ginny exclaimed, giggling.
"how was it?" Luna asked curiously.
"are you guys together now?" Ginny asked.
"are you going to his house for summer?" Cho asked.
"did you shag him?" luna asked, surprising everyone.
Audrey felt her nerves rising, as he eyes swelled with tears.
"i don't know!" she yelled out, gaining the attention of people around her. "he won't even look at me,"
Ginny tried to stand up, presumably to go kill Ron, but luna pulled her back down.
"what happened?" Cho asked, resting her hand on her thigh.
"i don't know," she sighed, letting her head fall. "we kissed, dean walked in, i left, and then- just now, i came in, he was looking at me, so i waved, and he completely ignored me!"
the three girls looked at her for a moment, almost in shock.
"your telling me," Ginny said, "your very recent ex boyfriend walked in on you to, and you followed him?"
"what no," Audrey said, her head shooting up. "dean went somewhere else, i just went to his dorm to-"
she realized her mistake, and the guilt consumed her
immediately."oh my gosh, he thinks i chased after dean." she said, looking back to the red head.
"i swear i didn't, he just wanted that stupid necklace back!" she assured them. "i left it in his room, he wasn't even there!"
"don't tell us that," luna said, "tell him."
