The aftermath of the atomic bombs was truly the worst event since the asteroid killed all those fucking dinosaurs. Even if most humans didn't die in the initial attacks, they would die soon enough as pretty much everyone got stage four cancers, or just killed themselves because they didn't want to live in this world anymore. It was pretty much apocalyptic for those who actually did live through it, as they would have to hunt whatever forms of wild life there was for food and would have to find shelter in crazy places like they were all cavemen or something. Pretty much every building was uninhabitable, even the dome surrounding Donald and Daisy's house and the house inside did not make it. A lot of buildings were completely obliterated, others were mostly but still had some things standing. A lot of places were also wiped away in the tsunamis, which flooded a large portion of several counties. The climates were fucking crazy with it never being fucking warm and instead having a near permanent cold climate. People all had to wear gas masks or something that could cover their faces strongly so that they wouldn't get killed by the toxicities in the air. Those who had survived through all of this had to become like warriors, going about their lives fighting against the elements of the outside world that was no longer really meant to be habitable for them. The ADDG were also not the only ones who had the idea of going off into space, as at least two million people, mostly those who were rich, as well as those who had time to go, began living up in space and eventually everyone moved into a large spacecraft that was big enough to hold everyone which Ludwig built himself. It also had special oxygen so that not only could breathe in there without a helmet on, but it also helped fill their lungs with things that kept them immortal. They stayed in this spacecraft for a thousand years, not doing too much of anything in their daily lives outside of just hanging around each other and sometimes going out in space to float around. Goofy and Clarabelle loved floating around stoned. There were windows that they used to look down at the Earth, which looked to be a much darker color than before the nuclear attacks, looking almost gray and black as opposed to the original colors of blue and green. The spacecraft would also sometimes fly around to other planets, and would sometimes land on the moon for people to walk around there. But after the thousand years went by Ludwig began to notice that the earth's colors were coming back and started to wonder if the world was back to normal. So Ludwig took a smaller space ship and flew down to Earth for the first time in thirty years and while it wasn't perfect or back to normal, there had been great improvements made throughout the years. The sun was finally shining back in the world, plants and green grass were growing like normal, and Ludwig also noticed that there were actually fucking people who were walking around, meaning that life continued to grow even in spite of all the destruction. Ludwig brought out a device to test the air quality and was shocked to find that it was as normal as it had been the times before the bombs went off. Ludwig headed back to the spacecraft and told everyone what he had seen.
"It looks completely normal down there, life on Earth can exist again, I think we can all go home now!"
"Bitch I don't want to go back down there, I love this spacecraft!" Clarabelle yelled.
"But this spacecraft is not where we are supposed to be, we are supposed to be on Earth!"
"But what would we even do there?" Asked Walt.
"I don't know, I think at this point we are all old enough to go into retirement!" Ludwig stated.
"Are we going to bring back Disney?" Asked Simba.
"Well I guess that is up to Walt!"
"Yeah I'm good, it was fun while it lasted I suppose!"
"Did you see any cities or anything, I mean where would we even live?" Asked Gaston.
"Well I saw some small village looking areas, the world is not back to its former self but I think that if we go down there then we could be the pioneers to turn it back into something beautiful, after all the world had to grow to where it was before so it can do it again, and remember Walt built ToonTown himself and that became a great city for a time, not to mention I think that it is a great full circle moment for us to be the ones who left the world to go back and become the ones who help to bring it back to normal, I think we should all go back down, and we can keep the spacecraft parked in case we want to get back on it!"
Everyone eventually agreed and so after a few days where everyone got all of their things packed up, the spacecraft flew back down to Earth and everyone experienced the fresh air and sun of the planet which they had previously forgotten about without having been on it for a thousand years. Upon arriving they all started to frolic around through the gardens and bushes like they were all stoned (although of course two of them were) and felt happier than they had in a long time. Over the next few years they slowly but surely helped to bring the future of the planet forward by building new structures and homes and even cities for people to live in. Of course some countries sat inhabited for much longer, but even then some of those countries which were on other continents managed to get new life there as well without even having to use Ludwig and the other former Disney employees' help at all. The Disney employees all also took out a chip inside of them which would pause their lifespan and keep them at a certain age. This is what kept everyone from dying of natural causes throughout all those years. Now everyone working for Disney was able to just live for as long as the world intended them to and also allowed them all to enjoy what they considered to be their retirement. Some however were happier than others, including Walt, who after a while began to get severely depressed when thinking about the studio he once had going into the ground like this, he even considered starting the studio up again but realized that it was most likely for the better if he just left it alone and forgot about it. One day though Walt decided to kill himself by hanging himself in front of a group of children, which was definitely a way to go which he enjoyed. This time Walt decided that he would not go into the freezer and instead just asked to be cremated, like the lie his family had given the world in the first place. Ludwig also would think a lot about the studio. He would sometimes deeply regret ever getting involved with Donald and Daisy as it ultimately did not turn out well. But to him it seemed truly promising at the start, but maybe it was just all too good to be true. He would actually think a lot of times while on the spacecraft that if he ever made it back to earth then he would go back in time to stop the versions of themselves trying to kill Mickey and Minnie so that Mickey and Minnie could just live life as intended. But now in this new world, with it seeming to have a positive future without any of Disney's crazy influence in it, he decided that maybe this is what was intended. Another few centuries went by and the world kept on going further and further towards its former self, and arguably even a better version of its former self. One that was much more positive and happy and did not have as much drama and negativity in it. It was weird that it had to go through a devastating thing to get to this point but if this was the outcome then at least people could say that some good did come out of it. Cities grew normally, there was technology again but not as intense, and also people still were able to look back in history at some of the craziness from the past and be thankful that they were in better times. Donald and Daisy Duck, Walt Disney, and the Disney company were all now just a part of history, with nobody else from that time alive anymore. They were talked about in history classes and books, with people discussing how much they impacted the world in negative but also in positive ways. Many people looked back at this and found it to be an interesting time in history, but also wanted to make sure that nothing like this happened again, as much as people could help it.
"Hurry up, you are so fucking slow!"
One day a young boy and girl were playing around a beach in Florida and the little girl stopped to look down when she came across something.
"CAN YOU FUCKING WAIT I JUST FOUND SOMETHING AND IT LOOKS INTERESTING!"
"I WILL NOT FUCKING WAIT ANY FUCKING LONGER!"
"YES YOU DAMN WILL!"
"OH MY GOD, WELL WHAT IS IT THAT YOU FOUND!"
The boy walked over to see that the girl found a long blue piece of metal, wedged in the sand. They could tell that it had been there for a very long time, it looked very old and rusty and also had what almost looked like burnt parts of it. It was a very long piece of metal and the girl began to try and pull it out.
"Why are you doing that?!"
"I want to see it, I can't believe how long this thing is!"
The metal was very long, and it took a while for the entire thing to be pulled out of the sand. But eventually they got it out and when they began looking at both sides of it at first they thought it was completely blank.
"Well that was a waste of time!"
"Well I didn't know if there was going to be something great on it or something!"
"Well it doesn't so let's just keep walking!"
The boy kept walking on but the girl still looked at the metal and upon closer look she actually saw the faint, white outline of some letters. She realized that this was like a sign, and it read, "Where Dreams Come True".
"Come back over here, it says something!"
The boy walked back over and looked at the sign to see the words as well.
"Wait, I think I know what this means, it's from Disney!"
"That thing we learned about in school?"
"Yes, I wonder if these are some remains of Disney World, it was here in Florida!"
"Well maybe it was, okay let's just keep walking!"
That night the girl continued to be interested in what she found, so she went to a nearby library and checked out some books about the history of Disney. She read all about Donald and Daisy's rise to fame, how they were the most famous things ever for many decades, how they got divorced, when Daisy killed Donald and then later on Mortimer, and the last decade of it all where Daisy went crazy and ended up wiping almost the entire world. The girl was completely enthralled by this entire story, and could hardly stop thinking about the ducks. She just found it fascinating how two ducks could have such a strong influence on the world and how for one of them it was not enough. The girl kept thinking about it even when she was about to shut her eyes to go to sleep, but eventually she decided to make one more quick stop at the beach. She went to where she found the "Where Dreams Come True" sign and began looking around for any other pieces of Disney World's history. The beach was very dark and hard to see and all she had was a flashlight. She went down across the beach a few times, using a shovel that she bought to dig things up. She continued walking up and down this beach but was not seeming to find anything, even with how much she dug. But eventually the girl did hit something when she dug very deep into the sand. It was a Donald and Daisy Duck toy. She picked this up and put it in her pocket, she was very excited to find this thing because at least with this, unlike the sign, she could hold onto it. She decided that it would be better for her to maybe go further up, and then continued digging in an area that was more grassy as opposed to sandy. And she actually did end up finding something here, that being a full on fucking spire from Cinderella's Castle. The little girl was getting more and more excited as she kept on finding some of these things. Over the next few days she would continue to come back to this area, and would dig up and find or at least try to find new things that were once part of Disney World. She felt odd walking up and down this area. As she did she thought back to what it was like over a thousand years ago to that day. She wondered what was happening there. There were people going on rides, people enjoying time with their families, and people having what was supposed to be a magical time. She almost felt like she was walking on a graveyard in this sense, a graveyard of happy memories, as well as a graveyard of tragic memories. Disney fascinated her deeply, with the most fascinating element being that she did not really know how to feel about it. On the one hand it seemed like a positive thing but on the other it also seemed to be very negative. She did think it was for the best that it was gone, but she also wished she could have seen it, at least for the times when it was good. Disney was a place of greed, a place of magic, a place of love, a place of tragedy, and a place of power. And as she walked off of this graveyard that night, the girl wondered if this was all what the ducks wanted Disney to be, both for the world and for them.
