Chapter 11

After their practice, sabay na umalis sina Gaille and Serena, the latter's arm wrapped around the other (for show, of course). Siyempre, they both received teasing looks from their co-members. This was their first time ever leaving the studio together dahil madalas nauunang umalis si Gaille.

"We're a feet away from the school's building already. You can stop clinging onto me now."

Serena immediately did as she was told and let go of the tall girl's arm. She now stood a few inches away from Gaille.

"Grabe naman. 'Di mo ba love language physical touch?"

"Love language ko. Kaso ikaw hindi ko love."

"Sakit mo na talaga, Gaille."

"Stop being dramatic."

Gaille looked around their surroundings to ensure that no students of the same school they go to is around before speaking again.

"Now that we're alone, shouldn't we talk about how would we execute this deal?"

"The fake relationship?" Serena confirmed which Gaille nodded at. "Let's find a place to talk first. 'Di naman pwedeng mag-usap tayo habang naglalakad sa sidewalk."

"Alright. It's getting late na rin naman na. Tara sa footbridge. I did say na doon tayo mag-usap after practice."

"Daan muna tayo 7/11."

"Why?"

"Libre mo ko ice cream."

"You know, I kinda like where this deal is going. Mas madali kang sumusunod 'pag may gusto ako. Unlike before na kailangan pa kitang literal na habulin para lang mahagip ka."

Kalalabas lang ng 7/11 nilang dalawa na parehong may hawak na ice cream cup. Hindi naman na umangal kanina sa request ni Serena si Gaille. But she surely needed to take note of this trait of hers; mahilig magpalibre out of nowhere.

"We really need to establish rules between us. Ayoko namang bigla-bigla akong mapapagastos sa'yo."

Napatigil sa pagkain at napahinto naman si Serena sa sinabi ni Gaille. "Ay! Sorry pala! Nagbibiro lang naman kasi ako kanina. I didn't expect for you to take my word seriously. Libre na rin kasi 'yon! Sino ba ko para tumanggi?"

Surprisingly, the tall girl chuckled at her rambles. "Relax, I'm just kidding as well."

"Naks! Marunong ka rin palang mag-joke?"

Serena received an eye roll instead of a remark from Gaille kaya naman natawa siya.

They soon reached the footbridge while the sun is almost setting, creating a breathtaking view in front of them.

"Ngayon ko lang nakita sunset dito." Serena mumbled. Gaille, of course, heard it clearly since it was just the two of them.

"Really? Why?" Gaille leaned against the railings and attentively listened to Serena.

Serena did the same and looked down to see the city and the road from above before she started to explain.

"Kadalasan kasi, kapag nagpupunta ako rito sa footbridge, I would just be relieving my stress. Mostly, galing sa failed dates ko from my past suitors. Usually ang dates ko gabi na so I never really had the opportunity to see the sunset here. Kapag naman maaga uwi ko and wala akong ka-date, I would just go straight home."
