"Kio?"
"Yes, uyab ko?"
"Aren't you a little bored by now? Kanina pa tayo rito sa library. Ikaw tahimik lang diyan."
As Madi said, she and Kio are currently inside the library. Siyempre, force of habits, laging tambay si Madi sa library para magbasa ng libro. This time around, she's not alone though as she's with Kio.
It was a normal day for the two, the new couple in their campus. Hindi man sila nagkaroon ng ligawan stage, both of them are trying to get to know each other.
One of them is through engaging oneself into the other's interests.
Kio hummed and smiled at her girlfriend. "Alam mo namang basta kasama kita okay na sa'kin. Ikaw ba? Nage-enjoy ka naman diyan?"
"Siyempre naman, giliw ko. You know how much I love reading." Sagot ni Madi. "Gan'to na lang, let's talk about something while I read. Para naman hindi ka lang tahimik sa tabi ko."
"It's fine nga, Mads. Pero ano bang gusto mong pag-usapan?"
"Diba si Serena sila na nung friend mo na si Gab?" Panimula ni Madi.
"Oo." Maikling sagot ni Kio.
"I just wanted to know what's your opinion about them."
"Sa kanila? Bakit?"
"Siyempre friend ka ni Gab. Gusto ko lang malaman ano reaction mo nung naging sila."
Truth to be told, Kio tends to talk a lot about her friends to Madi. The latter doesn't really mind, honestly. For her, it's nice to get to know what your partner's friends are like as well.
Kio looked around to see if anyone else they knew inside the library would hear their conversation. Mahirap na lalo tahimik sa loob.
Once clear, Kio whispered just enough for her girlfriend to hear. "Mads, shh ka lang ah. Pero alam mo? Medyo sus pa rin ako sa kanilang dalawa."
"Ba't naman?"
"They came out of nowhere. Alam ko nga rin 'di naman tipo ni Gab mga tulad ni Sere. Annoying pa nga raw kasi maingay. Pero isang iglap, nililigawan na niya?" Kio explained, the disbelief in her voice loud and clear.
"Baka naman kasi they really clicked together dahil mas nagkakilala sila. Love comes unexpectedly, right?" Pagbibigay ng opinion ni Madi.
"Hindi eh, something's really off talaga. Pero sana nga ako lang 'yon."

Present time
"Sabi na. Sabi na parang may mali..." Kio muttered, the disappointment in her face cannot be hidden.
"Kio, let us explain."
Nagulat si Kio nang si Gaille ang humawak sa kaniyang pulsuhan, the latter's voice shaking and seemingly desperate to explain everything to her.
Kio sighed and calmed herself down. "Sige, papakinggan ko kayo. Pero siguraduhin niyong valid ang mga rason niyo."
"Kio, ako na." Serena intervened this time. She then looked at Gaille with a smile. "Gaille, can you give us a moment? Ako na bahala."
