Chapter 75

Kinabukasan, nagpunta si Gaille, gamit ang kaniyang motorbike, sa bahay nila Serena to pick her up. Pero mas maaga siya sa usual time na papunta silang school. Balak kasi niyang makipag-catch up sa parents ni Serena.

Gaille parked her motorbike just outside of their house. She dismounted it and took off her helmet, carrying it in her arm, and approached their front door, knocking on it three times.

Matapos ang sandaling paghihintay niya, bumukas ang pintuan ng bahay nila Serena, revealing the younger's mom, who was in shock to see Gaille in front of her.

"Gaille-? Ikaw ba 'yan?"

Gaille smiled and nodded, "Opo, tita."

This made a grin appear onto Serena's mom's lips. She pulled Gaille in for an embrace for just a split second.

"Tagal din natin hindi nagkita, ah? Nandito ka for Renren, diba? Halika pasok ka muna." Serena's mom invited over, opening the door widely for Gaille to enter. "Kahit 'wag mo nang tanggalin sapatos mo."

But Gaille declined, shaking her head at Serena's mom's offer. "No po, tita. I can easily wear my shoes naman po."

Wala naman nang nagawa ang nanay ni Serena kundi hayaan si Gaille na tanggalin ang kaniyang sapatos. They both entered the house and went straight to the living room.

"Maupo ka muna, hija." Sabi sa kaniya ng mom ni Serena habang tinuturo ang sofa.

Agad namang nagpasalamat si Gaille at naupo, enjoying the feeling of the comfortable cushion as soon as she sat down.

"Nag-breakfast ka na ba? Anong gusto mo, Gaille?" Tanong sa kaniya ng nanay ni Serena.

"No, tita, I'm good." Gaille politely declined.

"Sure? Ang aga pa, Gaille, ah? For sure hindi ka pa nagbe-breakfast."

Gaille was unable to deny that, which made her nod. "Usually po kasi, me and Serena have breakfast together before classes."

"Ah, gano'n ba? Dito na kayo mag-breakfast, nandito ka naman din lang. Pagluluto ko kayo."

Pagtayo ng nanay ni Serena ay ang pagsabay na pagtayo rin ni Gaille, na mukhang may naiisip din na gawin.

"Tita, can I help out at the kitchen po?"

"Wake up~! Gising na~!"

Serena groaned as she heard her alarm, an alarm she made. Mukhang super effective nga, kasi sino ba namang hindi magigising sa tunog ng boses nila? It's even annoying, according to the younger.

She turned it off and sat up against her bed, yawning and stretching her arms out. She walked towards the bathroom to quickly wash her face and brush her teeth. Once done, she went downstairs to have a cup of coffee, her usual routine in the morning.

But as soon as she went down, she gasped in surprise, seeing who's currently with her mom right now inside the kitchen. Her loud gasp was heard by the said people.

"'Nak! Gising ka na pala!" Bati sa kaniya ng kaniyang ina. "Sit down, dali! Nagluto kami ni Gaille ng breakfast."

Serena blinked several times, trying to process the unexpected sight. Gaille, in their kitchen, helping her mom cook breakfast? It sounds surreal. She can't help but blush out of embarrassment, letting her girlfriend already see her in that 'messy bedroom hair' state after just becoming officially together last night.
