I Own This Bookstore P2

Whenever Dazai has off or free time he visits the woman's shop.
She enjoys the company and he'll read to her.
On Thursdays they go on simple dates.
The agency members begin to talk and discuss what they believe is going on with their co-worker.
Dazai even helped with the vandalism.
Now children were more afraid but they still came by once in a while.

"Little mystery I'm here~" he sing-songs.
"Osa come help me quick."
The brunette looks around for his girlfriend and finds her in one of the aisles.
She is on a ladder, holding a thick book.
He walks over and she hands him the book, then a few more.
(Y/n) smiles and finally steps down from the ladder. "Thank you Osa. These are for a few customers coming in today."
"I see. Do you need help with anything?"
"To be honest I could really use something to eat."
"Food run I can do. Whatcha thinking?"
"Just something from the convenience store is fine. I don't require anything fancy. Especially since we're going out tomorrow night."

Dazai smirks and kisses her cheek. "That's right. I can't wait."
(Y/n) grabs the books and walks away.
He leaves and comes back a while later with a bag for her.
She stops and smiles. "Thank goodness. I'm starving now."
"Then I came not a moment too soon." He hands her the bag.
The store owner starts eating and sighs softly. "So good."
"When was the last time you ate?"
"I had a little something for breakfast."
"It's nearly closing time. You should've had something for lunch."
"I was busy." She grumbles and pouts cutely.
Dazai chuckles and kisses her cheek.

As the months go by (Y/n) wondered if Dazai would introduce her to his friends.
He spoke of them and his job, of course he also told her he didn't have any family.
If they're going to be serious she wants to know as much as she can.
Fate must have heard because a few weeks later (Yn) bumps into Kunikida and Ranpo on the street.
The brunette looks the woman up and down. "We finally meet."
The woman looks at him confused. "Excuse me?"
"Do you know her Ranpo?" The blonde inquires, pushing up his glasses.
"This is the woman Dazai has been keeping secret. Although she's way out of his league." The childish agent informs, moving his sucker from one side of his mouth to the other.

"Are you Osa's co-workers or friends? I've been so excited to meet you." (Y/n) asks and smiles happily.
"We work with him yes. I never thought he'd find a girlfriend. Is this really what he's been hiding?" Kunikida asks looking at his elder.
"Indeed. I figured it out a while ago of course." Ranpo boasts and smirks.
"Why didn't you place a bet then?"
"Because I knew I'd win so I was giving you guys a chance. Now that it's been confirmed I expect my prize."
Kunikida sighs but nods.
"What are your names?" (Y/n) asks, looking between the two.
"How rude of us. My name is Doppo Kunikida and this is Edogawa Ranpo. We work at the Armed Detective Agency with Dazai."

"I see. I wish I could meet the rest of the agents. I've been afraid he was never going to introduce us."
"I'm sure he wasn't going to. He's very secretive." Kunikida mumbles and crosses his arms.
"If you want we can take you back to the agency. We were just on our way back. Dazai is out doing his own thing at the moment."
"I would love that." (Y/n) cheers and puts her hands together.
"Great."
"You're being awfully inviting Ranpo." The blonde mumbles.
The shorter man shrugs.

The three travel to the agency and Ranpo lets her in.
Atsushi looks at the three. "Who is this? Another client?"
"This is Dazai's girlfriend."
Everyone stops what they're doing and looks at the woman.
The president walks over and looks down at her.
(Y/n) bites the inside of her cheek, nervously. "Hello sir. Are you the boss?"
He smiles kindly and nods. "President Fukuzawa."
"It's a pleasure to finally meet you."
"You as well. If you don't mind me asking, how long have you and Dazai been dating?"
"About half a year now. He came into my shop looking for a rare book that I had. He asked me out for coffee and we hit it off pretty well."

"What's going on in here? Do we have a guest?" Dazai inquires from the doorway. He puts his hands in his pockets as he walks over.
(Y/n) turns to him and smiles happily. "Osa you're back! I'm so glad to see you."
"(Y/n) what are you doing here?" He asks in a serious tone.
The woman frowns. "I bumped into Doppo and Edogawa on the street and they offered to bring me here."
"You shouldn't be here."
"Why are you hiding her away Dazai?" Atsushi asks.
"Are you ashamed of me? Everyone here seems to have an ability except me. Is that it?"

Dazai looks around at everyone. "I keep her away because it's dangerous here. The last thing I want or need is for the mafia to find her or some random ability users to kidnap her."
(Y/n) holds her boyfriend's hand. "You don't have to worry all the time Osa. I've learned how to protect myself against ability users."
"That's not the point. If you got hurt because of me I would never forgive myself. You should get home and I'll visit tomorrow."
(Y/n) pulls away but nods. "Ok," she whispers.
"Do you actually like this woman Dazai?" Kunikida asks, surprised.
"Of course I do." The brunette whispers, looking from the floor to his girlfriend's eyes.
She kisses his cheek then leaves.
Dazai sighs softly but smiles.

The next day Dazai goes to her apartment and lets himself in.
He takes off his shoes and jacket then goes to the bedroom.
(Y/n) is still asleep, seeing as how it's her day off.
The man smiles and watches her for a bit before crawling under the blanket with her.
She mumbles and turns to bury her face in his chest.
His fingers run through her hair and over her back.
"I'm sorry I made you upset." She whispers softly.
"I'm not upset. I'm worried." He responds and kisses her forehead.
"I'll stay away from now on."
"Thank you little mystery."
