42 - The stars was lost

Cepheus POV

It's slowly sinking in...

The forgotten memories...

Everything that was lost in me...

It's all coming back...

Every single one...

Everything...

It's not exactly everything...

There are still questions that lingers on my mind...

Am I found?

Or am I fooled?

Yet here I am being lost not just in thought but actually being lost.

Going somewhere I don't even know, hitting the gas pedal and owning the road like I have my name printed on it.

Overtaking each one of the vehicles that were in front of me.

Arriving somewhere I didn't know my mind would lead me.

She doesn't deserve this.

Staying inside my car and watching the woman who sacrificed everything for me.

Making her life miserable in order to give me the life I don't even think I deserve.

Disconnecting herself in the rest of the world, sacrificing her sight in order to give me the best sight I never asked for.

The memories of that evening were still vivid.

The night she proclaimed her love for me by doing something that would cause her permanent suffering.

That one night, it was snowing heavily, so there were only a few people scattered on the streets.

Inside a hospital, I was confined to a room, unable to leave.

I had been taken to the hospital due to my body's dangerously low temperature.

I had spent 96 hours outside a large mansion, without food, sleep, or moving from my spot.

I didn't even last five days before I lost consciousness.

Now, the weakest part of my body, my eyes, was affected.

"Cepheus, please eat," Arsianna pleaded with me, kneeling before me with her hands clasped together.

I refused to eat because I didn't want to eat unless she fed me.

Hyacinth, the woman who was the cause of all this, the woman I loved so much that even though she repeatedly hurt me, I accepted it.
