When the harsh reality crashes upon you, it inflicts a pain more profound than a bullet penetrating your very being.

As the raw truth is laid bare, it feels like being ensnared by the grip of your own folly.

Yet, when both revelations converge in a simultaneous onslaught, they overshadow the life you have thus far traversed.

It dawned on me, the simultaneous impact of reality and truth hitting me with such intensity, imparting a singular agony... a torment that eludes my comprehension.

I found myself suspended between the celestial and terrestrial realms, departing the hospital with a mind devoid of cogitation, navigating the rain-drenched roads with unwavering speed, indifferent to the tempest's fury.

There exists a task that beckons, a yearning within me... to hasten my return home. I crave the presence of the one woman who possesses the ability to assuage the melancholy within my breast.

I longed to behold her and offer contrition, despite not being the architect of the foolishness that transpired.

Reluctant to embrace the unvarnished truth, a nascent plan takes shape within my psyche. I am left with no confidant but myself.

Upon crossing the threshold of home, my wife stood amidst the array of my opulent vehicles and sports bikes in the garage. Our gazes locked, shattering me to my core.

She bears a striking resemblance to that individual. However, this resemblance alone should not serve as my sole criterion.

"Baby~" I advanced towards her, with measured steps. Gradually, a hunger for her touch welled within me, transforming my gait into a fervent sprint.

Hugging her tight, she was a bit surprised yet embraced me otherwise.

Lalo ko pa siyang niyakap. Yakap na parang ayaw ko ng ihiwalay pa siya sa akin. I can't believe how the world can be this cruel, twisting our life yet straightening our fate.

"I love you, love... I love you so much." I said breathlessly which made her giggles.

"I love you more, baby."

What did we do to deserve this kind of pain?

Anong ginawa ko o ginawa niya para makaranas kami ng ganitong hinanakit.

Our fate was twisted yet I love how it straightened when it comes to us loving each other.

"Why are you breathing heavily... Are you alright?" She asked with a hint of concerned, I just hummed and nodded.

"I love you so much, Celesthie." Lumayo ako ng kaunti sa kanya, I cupped her cheeks with my hands and looked straight into her eyes.

Her pupils dilated the same time she wore that radiant smile.

"I love you more, Cephy." Walang sabi-sabi ay siya'y aking hinalikan, she was surprised by my sudden move yet she kissed back.
