60 - The stars were finally aligned

Cepheus POV

"We're going to take a private jet since ayaw ng asawa ko ng hindi naka private jet, is that okay with you two?"

We were currently at a 5 star restaurant near our school para mapag-usapan ang magahanap na dalawang event sa Italy which is the SERIO event and Auto-racing competition.

"Are you okay, honey? You look pale?" Ms. Jezreel's voice carried a subtle hint of concern as she inquired, her eyes searching mine for answers.

Beside me, my wife gently squeezed my hand, a silent gesture meant to ground me, to remind me that I was not alone in this moment of profound anxiety.

Her touch offered a fleeting sense of comfort, yet the storm of nervousness raging within me proved unyielding.

Today, I had resolved to finally unveil the truth, to confront the secrets that had long haunted me.

I had brought with me the DNA results, tangible proof that could no longer be ignored or hidden away.

But now, standing on the precipice of revelation, I found my courage faltering, dissolving under the weight of impending disclosure.

I couldn't pinpoint the exact source of my fear, only that it consumed me entirely.

My heart pounded relentlessly, each beat echoing like a thunderclap in my chest. Breathing became a laborious task, each inhale shallow and strained.

My blood ran cold, an icy chill seeping into my veins. Sweat beaded on my forehead, a physical manifestation of my inner turmoil.

Restlessness gnawed at me, making it impossible to remain still.

In this moment, I was a prisoner of my own trepidation, my mind and body betraying the composure I desperately sought to maintain.

"Are you perhaps a bit sick?"

"No..."

"Actually, my wife has something to say that will surely take you aback," my wife began, her voice a blend of calm resolve and underlying tension.

She fixed her gaze on Ms. Jezreel, her eyes a mix of determination and vulnerability.

"We were hoping that, once she says it, there will be no bad blood or violent reactions."

The statement lingered in the air, imbued with a sense of profound significance. It felt as though the room itself was holding its breath, the walls closing in around us as we stood on the precipice of revelation.
