The two best friends of many years decided that it would be best to meet up, Maeve couldn't deny that she was desperately wanting to see Elodie. She honestly captured something in her heart that made her desperately smile with joy.

Did they only just see each other a night ago in work? Yes. But would that stop them from meeting up? Hell no, they were practically inseparable when they were together. So because it's a new weekend and it's Saturday, They thought it would be ideal to spend a few hours together and catch up with their lives. Autumn was very keen with Maeve's relationship at the moment, to an extent people could call her the biggest 'Maialotte' shipper they ever knew. Maeve was also interested in how life with a baby was going, she couldn't deny that she always wanted to have a family of her own. Maeve would love to give her children a life that she never had, where her child wouldn't be judged or treated anyways she was - she was proud of Autumn.

They lived quite close to each other, so Maeve only had to walk a couple of houses down to be at each others house. All of them thought that in the long run, it would be quite useful to live nearer to each other in case of emergencies.

Walking up to the door, Maeve felt a slow tingle of uncertainty trickle down her back but she decided to ignore it and blame it on the sudden gust of cold wind that blew her hair messily. So she raised her hand up to the door and knocked, patiently waiting for the door to swing open.
Looking down at her phone Maeve was engrossed in her Amazon account, when the soft warm light shines on Maeve and illuminates her figure. It wasn't weird or out of the ordinary for them to go on nighttime/mid afternoon walks.

Maeve's POV:
I slowly look up from my phone to see Autumn stood there, in her more relaxed attire than many would have normally seen her in. Autumn's hair was loosely thrown over her shoulders, out of her normal half up half down hairstyle. Autumn slacked one of Winter's jumpers, now oversized over her post natal state of body, wearing loose jogging bottoms to not tug at her stomach.

"Maeve, I knew you'd arrive sooner or later I thought maybe you got caught up in another make out session~" Autumn giggled and playfully nudged me. I laugh and she welcomes me into her house yet again, closing the door behind me.

This was normally our routine, I would come around to Autumn's house and we would chat over some tea whilst watching Elodie in her little bouncer, AWWWW she is so cute!! I thought.

"So how's it going being a mother?" I smile and sit on the sofa opposite Autumn. She glances over to Elodie and back at me, "I'll be honest with you like I've been for years, after having the miscarriage I didn't think that I'd be able to cope with another kid. Yet when I found out I was pregnant with her.....it felt magical. Precious, new." She smiles and wraps her hands around her cup, taking a sip of her coffee. "But I adore being a mum, she makes me feel so much love. Winter loves it as well...in the night he talks and talks all about her..." Autumn smiles.

Just for a moment, I felt a pang of jealousy only for a second I want to be a mother so bad but I'm so happy she can live out her dream.
"Did it hurt? The process of being a mother?" I ask and shift my legs.

I had a miscarriage before.., with Nick when I thought he was the one. I don't ever think it's even real sometimes, but a part of my brain thinks if only my body saved my baby, he would have been alive and had Elodie as a friend.

"Some parts of it hurt..., the cramps now and again, the morning sickness was annoying." Autumn sighs at the thought of morning sickness, she loved every aspect of pregnancy but that particular part. "But all in all I didn't hurt hurt, just a few bumps in the road".

Autumn's POV:
Something felt off in my head.. me and Maeve were just getting ready to leave for our walk when I felt her linger behind me.

"Maeve? Are you alright?" I ask her and she looks up to me and hurries next to Elodie's pram and me. I see her chest rise and I look over to her, "I just was thinking about what could have been. But I've been thinking about how proud I am of you." Maeve smiles and we go to leave my house.

Our normal walk around the park was so peaceful, "So how have you all been?" I ask her and she strolls alongside me. "We've been great, Mia treated me and char to a week away in Greece.... Oh I love them so much.." Maeve rambles and I see the light in her eyes sparkle.

As the two got deeper into conversation and walk the more they were giggling with each other. Maeve hadn't seen Autumn laugh as much as she had been doing for the minutes, over the smallest things. Maeve had tripped over a tree root and Autumn had bursted out laughing. "Hey that's not funny I coulda died!!" Maeve giggles and stretches her hand out to Autumn and she lifts her up to help her off the floor.

That same tinge of unease filtered through Maeve's spine as she gets pulled up and helped. She swore she saw a small shadow flicker past the trees, "Did you see that Aut?" Maeve looks up to Autumn with concern, "See what?" Autumn looks over to her as they continue walking.

"Never mind then" Maeve yet again brushes it off and continues her happy walk with Autumn.

The fresh air hit Maeve and Autumn's face as they continued their stroll around the park. They talked and talked about their lives, how she'll soon be able to celebrate Mother's Day, Father's Day and so many more holidays.

They made a little detour to what they normally would do and decided to go to a little restaurant nearby. "Won't Winter be wondering where you two are?" Maeve asks and Autumn dimples show as she smiles, "I knew we'd both be hungry after our walk, so I gave him a heads up that there would be a chance we'd go for dinner" she chuckles and opens the door finding a table for them. It was moments like these where they both found comfort in each other's company.

During dinner whilst they were waiting for food Maeve had a relay of messages jump through her phone, "Is that your lovers texting you?" Autumn looks over to Maeve. "Oh I wish it was them..no it's an...unknown number?" She raises her eyebrow and scrolls through it.

Unknown: hey baby, I saw you walking tonight. That jumper clung tight to your figure.
Unknown: I can see you still~
Unknown: is that your baby? Is the dad out of the picture?
Unknown: I heard that you are with women now, haven't you been shown what you're missing? I could give you all that action baby.
Unknown: oh I like that restaurant too. You're there with a women how nice..

"Oh um....mm..oh well yeah..." Maeve stumbles on her words and awkwardly rubs the back of her neck. "Autumn I don't know who the hell this is but what the heck.." she passes her phone to Autumn. She takes one look at her phone and looks back up, "This person.. I'm guessing a man has been following you around?" Autumn groans looking agitated that someone had the nerve to do that. "What idiots they are" she huffs.

They finish their food and to make sure that they're safe walking home, they shoot their respective partner a text to pick them up.

As soon as Maeve gets in she just dives into bed and falls asleep cuddled into Charlotte.
"Goodnight baby, sweet dreams" Charlotte smiles
"Goodnight my sweethearts" Mia kisses.
