⚠️Trigger warning : this will include mentions of violence and Sa. This isn't for the faint of heart and I do hope I can spread awareness along these chapters on how to best support an individual who has been through this.  It's important to have someone to talk to during this, whatever your story is and have a sense of stability there.

This is a follow on from Chapter 25.

Walking more and more that same feeling starts to crawl up Maeve's spine, so when she feels cold surround her and yank her into a cold van what will happen? Who's got her? What's going on?

It's pitch black outside and everything was cold groggy and dull, nothing felt human anymore it all felt foreign. Foreign. That's how Maeve felt at this very moment, she didn't know where she was or who she was with all she was in trouble. She was in pain as well, immense pain. She was thrown around in the back of a van? Is what she thought, she couldn't really see anything because she was tightly blindfolded and was relying on her hearing to determine where she was and what was happening. Everything hurt. Maeve was just praying that she would make whatever this was out alive.

Only the sound of jostling the keys could be heard, she assumed that it was the driver had been fiddling around with the keys. The voice sounded familiar to Maeve but without her vision she couldn't make out the voice, her head was also aching, she must of hit it.

The smell of metallic iron filled her nose, blood? But was she bleeding or was that person? She was able to realise it was then her, when a watery stream of what also smelt like metal slid down her face and landed into her mouth.

Maeve's POV:
I could taste it, blood filled my mouth and I nearly choked on it. I spat it out and I face planted the bottom of the van. Ouch I groaned and just shivered in pain.

The rattles of the van doors startle me, almost becoming my broken distorted lullaby as I slip in and out of consciousness. I wanted to give in and let myself slip away but I kept thinking of Mia and Charlotte their smiles that brighten my mood all of the time. I thought of Elodie and her cute smile, I couldn't leave without seeing her smile.

But then I could hear it... it didn't register at first with me at first but I heard him... "I'll show you what you're missing now girl....just you wait. I correct all your flaws" he grumbles and stops abruptly at our location.

It was Nick..,he found me again. How?

The next thing I knew I heard the van doors open and he dragged me out by my ankles, leading my injured one to pop out of its socket.

Mia and Charlotte were back from the hospital and were at home, expecting Maeve to be home already. When they walked through the door though and called out for Maeve there was no reply, "Maybe she's sleeping?" Charlotte wonders and walks up the stairs to their bedroom and it was empty. "She's not up here Mia" she calls.

Maeve was wishing she would be asleep at that moment, to numb the pain away.

"What do you mean she's supposed to be home" Mia responded meeting Charlotte half way up the stairs. They both knew Maeve wasn't normally one for not telling them where she is, so they honestly had no idea as to where she is.

"Let's just wait for a while..., she'll come home"
Would she come home in time?
Would she make it out alive?
What will happen to her?

"Fuck!!!" Maeve squeals in pain as Nick antagonises her by pulling at her injured foot and pulling her hair.

Tears rolled down Maeve's masked eyes and soaked up into the blindfold, everything hurt and nothing could save her in this moment.
"P-please...." Maeve pleads as he yanks down her blindfolded, throwing her down to the floor. She couldn't help but try to pry her eyes open but the light was too bright and blinding her eyes.
