Chapter 2
Yato Pov:
A week passed since the announcement of the future festivals. Classes were pretty much normal aside from the preparation students started to make about the sports festival and cultural festival.
Some were trying to come up with ideas for the cultural festival, while others, like Sudo, were already excited about the sports festival.
Of course, once again I was in neither camp as I prefer taking things easy for the moment. Summer break just ended recently, and I prefer not to bother myself about all this stuff for now.
There's still something on my mind these days, though. It's about Chabs. Recently, I haven't found the right moment to talk with her without forcing a meeting. She was busy or almost seemed to avoid me on purpose. I wanted to talk about her strange beavhoir that might be due to that particular night, but I might have to schedule a moment with her to be able to talk properly with her.
There's nothing in a hurry, though. We've just started our second semester, and the sports festival is still in a whole month. There's no rush...
That's why right now, I'm pretty chill about about my time and what's going on around me.
Yato: Mhm?
Walking to school alone I noticed two guys walking further away as I turned around a corner.
Yato: Ishizaki! Albert!
I immediately called out this duo, who always spend their time together. I'm pretty sure they're best friends at this point by always hanging around together.
Ishizaki: Oh? Fukazawa!
Albert: Hey!
Hearing my voice, they both stopped and turned around to look at me. Ishizaki shouted my name happily, while Albert seemed happy to see me despite wearing his usual sunglasses, which hid his gaze.
I quickly walked towards them because they had stopped walking and were waiting for me.
Yato: So what's up, guys? Not too much in pain cause Summer break ended?
Ishizaki: Argh...don't mention it...
As soon as I talked about the return to classes, Ishizaki sighed, exasperated, while Albert had a similar mood as he nodded.
Ishizaki: Albert and I were currently talking about how we miss vacations...
I just smiled as we both naturally began to walk again toward school.
Yato: Sighs I know...not being able to stay up all night anymore is a real shame...
I've never been a morning guy, and it just got worse after Mom and Dad died...after that, I was doing pretty much whatever I wanted, and I simply prefer living at night, I think.
Ishizkai: Please, Fukazawa, can you come up with a way to extend our break?
Yato: Well...technically, we can buy whatever we want, so maybe changing school schedule might be something we can pull off...but that might be hella expensive...
There's probably no one at the school who ever had this idea before, so it's likely something the organization didn't consider yet.
That might end like the time I asked Chabs if I could buy a ticket to skip school years. According to her reaction and the teachers around that night, it was the first time they had heard something like that, and that's why she came up with a ridiculous price of 800 million, which made my strategy fail.
