Chapter 2

Atsuomi Pov:

A few days ago, Naoe-sensei assigned me the human resource development project. After asking Kamogawa to find a place for our future installation, I contacted a certain Sakayanagi Narumori. He will be my ticket to obtaining funds from future people of the high social class.

However, obtaining the trust and funds needed for the project might take a moment. Time isn't something I can waste, though, in order to reach my objective.

That's why I contacted another person Naoe-sensei had advised me beforehand: Mori Ougai, a young, renowned doctor with a position and name in the political world already.

Unsure of what kind of man it would be, I met him, and the reason why such a man as Naoe-sensei brought Mori Ougai on his side became apparent.

As much irritating as it can be, the man Mori Ougai was in a position I wished to be right now.

A terrifying man who I ended up being unable to seize through our meeting. That's precisely the kind of man I need to remain on my guard compared to those politician sons fighting for a place in this world.

Mori Ougai is a genius yet seems able to fight in order to obtain what he wants.

However, if he can be an asset to me, I won't hesitate to use him for my own ascension.

That's how today, with his status and help, I was able to enter the Zenin residence.

Thanks to its immense wealth, the Zenin clan, which has a heritage dating back to the Meiji era, has influenced the political landscape for years.

Although I know their name, I can't say the same about their functioning. I have recently become more interested in their clan because their name has been mentioned many times in Naoe-sensei's educational project papers.

That's why, aside from the funds needed, I wanted to grasp the whole idea of Naoe-sensei, which emerged here within the Zenin family.

Ogi: Once again, I apologize for such a scene, Ayanokoji.

Atsuomi: ...

Walking next to Zenin Ogi, third son of the previous head clan, we were taking our distance from the room where many kids were lying in beds injured.

Atsuomi: I have seen worse, so there's no need to apologize.

There were at least six kids covered with injuries, plus another man with his jaw fucked up.

Seeing kids injured and beaten up didn't affect me, yet I remained curious about the incident.

Why?

According to Zenin Ogi's words, all this would be due to a single teenager I met earlier.

The supposed curse, as they called him.

Ogi: Worse, huh? That's right...I did some research on you beforehand, Ayanokoji.

It was pretty troublesome but expected as they allowed me to come along with Mori-sensei.

Ogi: Naoe-sensei is someone who managed to get my father's acknowledgment...only for that he obtained my respect.

The simple fact that his father recognized Naoe-sensei was enough for the man beside me to respect him.

So far in my political life under Naoe-sensei, I have faced this situation many times; however, it was about Naoe-sensei acknowledging someone, not the other way around. Naoe-sensei never looked like the kind of man who needed to be acknowledged.
