Chapter 3

Yato Pov:

Yesterday was Monday, September 20th. It was the first school day since the previous special exam last Friday. With Kushida's reveal and the information and secrets she revealed, there are some fissures in the class.

However, it was necessary for many reasons. First, Suzune wouldn't have accepted Kushida's expulsion, and secondly, for Kushida herself, it was better to get rid of that mask of hers. Her mask became a double-edged weapon, which started to affect her mental health. I'm already surprised she managed to hold on to it for that long, but it was necessary to get rid of that mask at some point for her betterment.

That's why, knowing Kiyo's concern about Kushida, I just had to let things happen naturally, as this last one wanted to use this opportunity to get rid of the curse of the class...however it's not my forte. Even a curse can end up being useful at some point... Suzune decision to keep Kushida isn't bad, but...

Now that Kiyo and Suzune have stepped up for themself, I prefer leaving them to deal with their choices. Suzune will have no choice but to find a way to bring Kushida into class while I could do it myself...and Kiyo will now deal with that nonexistent group of his anymore.

Yato: I swear... He's been crying like a kid for a whole year, and he wants a peaceful and boring high school life, but he ditch that girl on the first occasion.

After learning about WhiteRoom, it makes more sense that he desires to experience things like a normal high school life. After all, from what I heard of it, he's out of that place for the first time. However, I'm somehow mad that he just decided to go against me.

Even if he realized afterward that Suzune wouldn't expel Kushida, he could have supported me, but no...he decided to align with Suzune and go against me.

Isn't that extremely stupid?

Yato: What a fucking brat...

I thought about all this while brushing my teeth in the bathroom. After doing so, I walked into my room and saw Kushdia awake but still in my bed.

Kushida: Argh...you really had to set an alarm?

Yato: How the fuck I'm supposed to get up without one?

She was woken up by my alarm this morning. I was now in my uniform, as it was almost time for me to leave for school.

It will be my first day since this special exam, as I took a day off yesterday. Of course, I planned to go despite what happened last Friday; however, I agreed to skip school because old man Sakayanagi asked me to do so.

Kushida: Argh...I'll try to go back to sleep...

As she said that, she closed her eyes and seemed serious about that statement. There were no signs of her going back to classes any time soon...which wasn't a surprise. Even more so when I offered a sort of hideout by agreeing with her to stay here.

Yato: Anyway, just try doing some cleanup today...

I quickly glanced around and was kind of stunned to see that my room was already a mess from all the stuff she had brought from her room. Her hairbrush and much of her stuff were on the table or my desk...

It was worse than the time Kei was occasionally forgetting her stuff here.

Yato: Sighs...

I just walked to my desk to pick up my bag and verified that the encyclopedia I received yesterday was there. By verifying, I also saw a small warped box that was a gift.
