Chapter 2

Yato Pov:

This Tuesday morning, I woke up grumpier than usual. I looked at the ceiling of my room, wondering if I should skip school.

The reason?

I ended up sabotaging myself about the festival...

Yato: Arghhhhh...

I finally managed to find some strength to get up from my bed and head in the shower.

Yesterday, they seriously thought I couldn't be a maid or sort of butler...but seriously? As if I couldn't achieve such a thing.

I had nothing left to prove, yet I felt the need to prove that I could be the best maid at this school.

Yato: What am I even saying?!

I was drying my hair, realizing my mistake, until I heard someone knocking at my door.

Yato: Argh...

Sighing with exasperation, I closed my hair dryer and headed toward my door. I grabbed my shirt, which was on my desk, and quickly put it on before opening the door.

I was not even surprised to find my neighbor standing there when I opened the door.

Kiyo: Sorry, but I could sense your exasperation through the walls...

Yato: Do all whiteroomers have some kind of kinetic abilities?

Kiyo: It's not about super power...but a genuine feeling of not letting myself be abused by you. I just did my job as manager to get a good element for the café.

Yato: I feel like a fucking prostitute...

I just turned around and grabbed my uniform and bag before returning to the entrance and stepping out of my room, ready to leave for school.

I closed the door behind me and left it unlocked again. Kiyo glanced quickly at the door, noticing I didn't lock it, but didn't say a word and just looked at me while I was putting on my uniform jacket.

Kiyo: You know I am pretty satisfied with myself...

Yato: Better be fucker...all my hope for doing a Koenji has been crushed...

When our trio found out about the maid café, I ran away before Suzune could assign me a task. That's how Kiyo ended up with the annoying task of being a sort of manager for the café and recruiting the best girls for the job.

On the side, I managed to find some paperwork that was easy to handle so I could slack off during the festival, but yeah, those dreams of mine are unreachable dreams now.

Kiyo: Yet I didn't have to start the second part of my revenge that you agreed on your own being a butler.

Yato: You seriously thought I would let Kikyo talk like that against me?
