Chapter 4

Kiyo Pov:

The very next day after I visited Nagumo's stall in the gymnasium.

Kiyo: Excuse me...

I opened the door to a place I didn't normally go to to meet with a certain student.

It was the student council door office. As I opened the door and stepped in, I saw Nagumo there with Fukazawa Touma on his side.

Nagumo was sitting at the large table, and Touma was standing behind. Both seemed to be looking at some paper in Nagumo's hand.

Nagumo raised his eyes and seemed momentarily surprised, while Touam just nodded as a greeting.

Nagumo: Well...I'm rather surprised...I didn't expect you to show up for real...

He just leaned back in his seat and looked at me suspiciously.

Kiyo: I wouldn't ask for some of your time to simply waste it afterward...

Nagumo: Mhm...if you say so...

Not convinced, he switched his attention to Touma next to him.

Nagumo: You're free to go, Touma, but I appreciate the help though.

Touma: Don't worry about it...

With his bag on his shoulder, he nodded and started walking to the exit. As he passed next to me, we exchanged a glance without any words, and he left the room.

Kiyo: ...

I heard Nagumo laugh as I looked in the direction Fukazawa Touma had just left the room.

Nagumo: He's a good promising kid...

I then switched my attention to Nagumo, still sitting on his chair.

Nagumo: More than you...

Kiyo: It's no surprise. He seems like a perfect student, and the OAA shows it compared to me.

This smile was quickly removed from his face after hearing my answer.

Nagumo: You see...it's this fake-ass modesty I hate about you, Ayanokoji...it makes you annoying and unfunny...

I simply made a genuine remark and agreed with Nagumo's stance on the student named Fukazawa Touma, yet it seems it displeased him.

Nagumo: Anyway...what's wrong? You wanted some of my time? By the way, I only accepted it because it's Nazuna who asked me to give you some of my time...

He made sure to make me understand that this meeting happened not because of me but only because he agreed with Asahina-senpai's request. He continued to look at me with the same look he usually has while looking at me, making sure to look down on me.

However, as he pointed out, it all began when yesterday I met Asahina-senpai and Kiryuin-senpai in their haunted house. After hearing Asahina-senpai's words, I've been picked with curiosity about a certain matter on my mind recently and wished to meet Nagumo face to face.

Kiyo: I will thank her later then...

It seems this answer amused him because he just smiled.

Nagumo: You're free to do so...anyway, what's up? Why did you want to meet me, Ayanokoji?

Kiyo: I was curious and hoped you could answer me about a certain matter...

Nagumo: Which is?

Kiyo: Your recent confrontation agasint Fukazawa Yato...
