Chapter 10

Yato Pov:

After I ran away from Gou accompanied by her demon queen friend, Ichinose and I headed for the gymnasium. 

The sports festival started an hour ago, and Ichinose and I only participated in our first scheduled events. 

She participated in a 100-meter sprint, for which I organized a group and assured myself of her victory without any chance of Nagumo being involved. That's how Ichinose gathered a total of 5 points so far for her first place.

I participated in my first event, which was the one Nagumo selected himself to face me in. According to the rules, we agreed we were both organizing each other's four events while leaving one event free to choose to face each other on our own. That's how Nagumo selected something related to soccer, and I selected a regular 100-meter sprint.

I thought I had my chance against Nagumo after having practiced my dribble a bit with Hirata, but Nagumo showed that the praise wasn't some joke and that he has a natural talent in that sport.

I still obtained second place, though, so I only have a mere three points so far. It must seem relatively low compared to Nagumo, who already practiced in a few events, but I already heard that Masachika obtained two first places in the events I scheduled for him.

Yato: He's serious at least...that's good...

I was still in the gym but alone since I parted away with Ichinose a moment after we met Minamikata. We found a good duo event near the gym for both of them and in the meantime, I'll be done with my second event, which is the tennis table.

We parted 20 minutes ago, and it was now 10:40, 10 minutes after my event started...

Yato: !!!

With a strong smash, I sent the tennis table ball to the other side, and my opponent, being a third-year, couldn't stop it at all once again, which gave me the final point.

Yato: HAHAHAHAHAHA!

After humiliating my opponent 10-0, I just pointed at him with my paddle

Yato: How many hours you think I spent in an arcade room hah?! I'm the fucking king of Akihabara you fucker hahahahaha!

Senpai: Tsk...

Annoyed, he just threw the paddle on the table, and I just sneered.

Yato: Ah! That's it run away loser...

I just leaned my paddle on my shoulder, looking at that guy walking away. From Kiriyama's note, it seems that guy is the best third-year student at the tennis table, but I ended up being extremely disappointed.

Yato: Well...I might have expected too much from a regular guy. After all, when he was in middle school, I was spending time in arcade rooms beating kids at those sorts of games...

Realizing that most people were going to school and I was wasting my time beating random kids in the arcade rooms of Akihabara, I heard two distinct footsteps approaching me.

Minamikata: We're back Fukazawa-kun.

Yato: Mhm?

I turned around and saw Ichinose and Minamikata coming back from their event.

Yato: Oh? So?

Ichinose: Well...sorry, we only could obtain the second place...

Minamikata: As soon we registered ourselves, two senpais also registered and ended up beating us...
