Giyuu's breath hitched, his eyes widening.
He looked up at Sanemi, his hand slowly touching his cheek.
"Shinazugawa-San..."
His vision went blurry...
He could see Sabito in him.
"JUST WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE, HUH? RANTING ABOUT KILLING YOURSELF LIKE THAT!?"
Sanemi breathed heavily, pushing Giyuu against the wall.
"WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT ANY OF US TO BE CALLING US LIARS? DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH WE CARE, HOW MUCH I CARE!?"
He shook Giyuu's shoulders violently.
"DO YOU HEAR ME? YOU'RE NOT A NOBODY!"
Giyuu's eyes felt like they were closing.
Sanemi's voice echoed in his mind.
"LOOK AT ME TOMIOKA! DON'T... DON'T YOU EVER SAY THAT YOU WISH TO DIE, EVER AGAIN! YOU HEAR ME?"
Giyuu's eyes widened at the words looking at Sanemi, his vision still blurry.
S...Sabito....
"IF YOU EVEN ATTEMPT TO HURT YOURSELF, I WILL FUCKING KILL YOU!"
Sanemi's eyes darkened, he pulled Giyuu closer, calming down a little.
"YOU-"
He sighed, trying his best to calm down.
"...You have to stay alive!"
He shook Giyuu again, making him look at him.
Sanemi sighed, pulling Giyuu into a hug.
"Tomioka... You don't know anything about me... And I don't know anything about you, what you're going through... But for a good future... You need to keep on living..."
He paused, taking a deep breath.
"If not for yourself, you need to keep on living for someone, who's looking out for you right now..."
Sanemi pulled away, locking his eyes with Giyuu's.
"I don't know who that person is for you... Or if there is such a person for you. But you know what? Even if you feel like there's no one... You have me, you have us. And I will always look out for you."
He smiled warmly, making Giyuu rethink his decision he took of killing himself earlier.
"I will always be here with you..."
Sanemi said.
"As comrades, as friends, as humans."
He added, hugging Giyuu once again.
"Sometimes... Even when you're at your lowest... You, you have to carry on. And I am saying that, because I've been there..."
Sanemi patted Giyuu's head gently, who seemed to be completely quiet now.
"I don't know why you would do that all of a sudden... But I know for sure that you did it for a reason, no matter what the reason is... I..."
He paused, continuing.
"I won't let you die... And you can hate me as much as you want..."
"...I don't care."
Giyuu gasped softly, not wanting to pull away from Sanemi's warm hug, the blood from his arms painting Sanemi's white haori red.
"Shina..."
Giyuu's voice cracked. He burried his face against Sanemi shoulder.
"I... I am sorry..."
He cried, his grip on Sanemi tightening.
Hearing his silent sobs, Sanemi felt a wave of regret wash over him.
He looked around the room, all covered with Giyuu's blood.
"I wish I was here sooner... Tomioka... I'm sorry for not being there for you..."
Sanemi pressed Giyuu's body against his, tearing up a little.
"I'm... I'm so sorry... It's because of me, isn't it? I knew something was up when you started talking to me like that back there but... I still didn't check up on you..."
Sanemi pulled away from the hug.
