Giyuu's shoulders slumped as he watched Sanemi walk away, each step feeling like a knife twisting in his heart.
He remained frozen for a long moment, the biting cold of the snow seeping through his socks, but he barely noticed it.
"No... No, no... What am I going to do? I-I can't give up like this..."
Giyuu muttered to himself, his hands trembling slightly at his sides.
That's when he remembered what Obanai had said.
"Look, you're gonna go meet up with Shinazugawa tomorrow. We'll most likely be at Kocho's. Update us on what happened..."
Should I... Tell them?
He wondered, unable to decide if he should meet up with them or not.
He hesitated, his heart heavy with indecision. But as he stood there, the biting wind whipping at his haori, he knew he had to meet them.
He slowly walked to the Butterfly Mansion, standing quietly at the door as soon as he reached.

"I hope Tomioka-San and Shinazugawa-San sorted things out... I couldn't bear to see them like that..."
Mitsuri murmured softly, her voice filled with concern.
Shinobu sighed, fidgeting with her hands.
"I don't know... I hope they did. But knowing Tomioka-San, he probably messed it up somehow."
She said, her voice laced with worry and a hint of amusement. She looked at Obanai, raising an eyebrow.
Obanai paced around, his expression anxious.
"He hasn't contacted us yet. That idiot better not have messed it up!"
He said, his pacing increasing. He looked at Shinobu.
"Do you think he handled it well?"
He asked her.
Shinobu shrugged, her expression uncertain.
"I-I don't know... Tomioka-San has a habit of saying the wrong thing sometimes."
She said softly.
"But... I really hope he did. For both their sakes."
She stood up, walking over to the window.
Obanai stopped pacing, his eyes fixed on Shinobu's back as she looked out the window. He sighed heavily, rubbing his temples.
"You're right. God, why does he always have to make everything so difficult?"
He muttered under his breath as he took a seat next to Mitsuri.
That's when they heard a knock on the door.
Shinobu's eyes widened as she heard the knock. She quickly rushed to the door and opened it.
"Tomioka-San!" She greeted, her voice eager. She looked at him expectantly.
"How did it go?"
She asked softly.
Giyuu's face fell, his shoulders slumping slightly.
"It... It didn't go well,"
He admitted softly, his voice barely above a whisper.
Shinobu frowned.
"Wh-What do you... mean?"
"He... He didn't even try to listen to me..."
Giyuu replied.
Obanai's expression darkened instantly. He glared at Giyuu, his hands clenching into fists.
"I knew it... You messed it up, didn't you?"
He asked, standing up abruptly.
"What did you even say to him!?"
He demanded, his anger rising.
"Calm down, Iguro-San!"
Mitsuri pleaded, her heart aching at the news Giyuu brought.
