It was the next morning.
Giyuu woke with a start, his heart pounding in his chest.
For a moment, he was disoriented, the memories of his dreams still clinging to him. But as reality set in, he remembered. He remembered Sanemi, their misunderstandings and the harsh words spoken in anger.
He sighed, running a hand through his tousled hair as he sat up. The sun was barely up, casting a faint glow through his window.
He threw his covers off and stood, already deciding on how he'd approach Sanemi.
I'll have to apologise, really...
He took a deep breath in, walking to the bathroom. He let out a deep, nervous sigh, splashing some water onto his face. He stared at his reflection in the mirror, his heart beating faster now.
He dried his face and combed his hair, trying to calm his racing thoughts. He needed to be clear-headed for this. He couldn't afford to mess it up again.
With one last glance at himself, he left the bathroom and headed out the door.
As he stepped outside, the snowflakes began to fall, gentle and quiet. He breathed in the crisp air, shivering slightly.
He rubbed his hands together for warmth, his steps crunching on the snow-covered land.
This will be difficult...
He thought, though a slight determination laced his words.
He knew he had to talk to Sanemi, clear up the misunderstanding, apologize for his actions. And with this renewed purpose, his heart was heavy with hope.

Meanwhile, Sanemi stirred, his eyes fluttering open to the gray light of early morning.
He felt a heaviness in his chest, a dull ache that he knew all too well. With a sigh, he threw back his covers and dressed mechanically, his mind already wandering to thoughts he tried to suppress.
Sanemi stepped out into the snowy morning, the cold air a shock against his skin. He had hoped that a walk might clear his head, help him forget the memories of Giyuu, that he didn't want to think of.
He looked around, a small smile escaping his lips as he took in the peaceful sight of snow blanketing the world in white.
It looks so pretty... Giyuu would've been so happy if he saw this...
His smile faded slowly.
"I really need to stop thinking about him..."
He murmured as he walked without direction, his breath misting in the cold air.
His steps were slow, heavy, mirroring the weight on his heart.
He really had given up, and he knew that this descision was for the better.
It hurt, but he knew he had to let Giyuu go. Though he still loved and missed him. Though it was still difficult for him to live without Giyuu.
He tried to learn how to live without him, learn how to forget the bitter past, but nothing seemed to help. Being alone actually made things worse.

"Oh, I'm so nervous..."
Giyuu's breath misted in the frosty air as he made his way towards Sanemi's Estate.
The entire town was quiet this early in the morning. The only sounds were the crunching snow of his steps and the distant hooting of an owl.
He walked, taking in the pleasant view of the nature. As he took a look around the area, he spotted a figure in the distance, walking alone in the snow.
