PART 42: KEEPING YOU WARM...

After having all his feelings cleared up in front of Giyuu, Sanemi felt his heart feel lighter. He smiled, pulling away from the warm hug the two shared.

"Want to continue walking, or do you want to do something else?"

"Let's continue walking-"
Giyuu paused abruptly as a rain drop fell on top of his nose. He looked up at the sky.

Following his gaze, Sanemi noticed the dark clouds forming above them. A low growl of thunder rumbled in the distance.

"Hm, I think it's about to rain... it's strange, the sky was clear a while ago... Let's go before we both get wet..."

Giyuu held his hand tightly.

"Let's go to my place, Giyuu."
Sanemi smiled reassuringly.

Giyuu nodded in response.
"Okay..."

Sanemi led Giyuu to his Estate, his pace quickening as he sensed the first drops of rain beginning to fall. Once inside, he quickly closed the door behind him, locking it.
"Ah, we made it just in time!"
He turned to face Giyuu.

"You're right..."
Giyuu smiled softly, his eyes sparkling with amusement.

"I... I'll be right back, just wait."
Sanemi walked to his room.

Giyuu nodded, looking around his place.
It was always so organised and clean.
He sat down near the empty place in the backyard.

Sanemi was drying his hair off with a towel, once back, he looked for Giyuu.

Where'd he go...?
He searched for him, his eyes softening when he spotted him sitting in the backyard.

"You scared me, I thought you left..."
He walked closer to Giyuu, sitting beside him.

Giyuu looked at him, his eyes filled with warmth.

"I feel a little cold..."
He said.

Sanemi looked at him, a small smirk appearing on his face as he pulled Giyuu closer, his body pressing against his.

"I'll keep you warm..."
He leaned in, his lips brushing against Giyuu's forehead in a gentle, reassuring kiss.

Giyuu chuckled, even though he was caught off guard at first. He blushed, relieved that he had someone like Sanemi by his side.

Sanemi noticed his reaction and chuckled, the sound deep and warm.

"You're always so cute when you're flustered..."
He pulled back slightly to look at Giyuu, his eyes shining with affection.

"Are your clothes dry?"
He asked, not noticing a single water drop on him.

Giyuu nodded.
"I guess I was fast enough to reach just in the right time..."

Sanemi nodded back, a small smile on his face.

"Good..."
He pulled Giyuu even closer, his arms wrapping around his waist. He rested his chin on his head.

"I like having you near me..."
He mumbled against Giyuu's dark hair.

"I like it too..."
Giyuu closed his eyes, wrapping his arms around Sanemi.

"You know, I found the note you had given me that day..."
He muttered softly.

Sanemi pulled away.
"Really? Do you have it with you?"

Giyuu nodded, pulling the paper out of his pocket. He handed it to Sanemi.

Sanemi's eyes widened as he read it, he almost felt as if someone hammered his head.
