After walking for a while, Sanemi finally reached Mitsuri's place. He knocked on the door, still unsure about the idea.
"Well, who could that be?"
Mitsuri bubbled up with excitement, walking to the door as she heard Sanemi knock. As soon as she saw him, she smiled cheerfully."Shinazugawa-San! What a surprise!"
She exclaimed.Sanemi cleared his throat, looking uncomfortable.
"Hey, Kanroji..."
He quickly looked away."Mhm?"
"Listen, I need your help with something..."
Sanemi swallowed hard, unable to hide the faint blush which spread on his cheeks.Mitsuri's face lit up, the warmth in her eyes growing brighter.
"Help? Is everything alright, Shinazugawa-San? You rarely come to my place... Did something happen?"Sanemi sighed, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Yeah, something happened..."He looked back at Mitsuri, his expression a mix of annoyance and desperation.
"I need to get some flowers for someone... and I need your help picking them out..."Her face brightened up with excitement as she clapped her hands together.
"Kyaaa!!! Flowers? For whom, Shinazugawa-San?"She gazed at him, curious yet excited.
"Is it..."
She paused, a mischievous glint in her eyes."...Tomioka-San?"
Sanemi's cheeks flushed red with embarrassment.
"Just shut up and help me pick out those damn flowers!"
He looked away, scratching his neck awkwardly."Stupid flowers..."
He muttered under his breath.Mitsuri giggled, finding Sanemi's embarrassment adorable.
"Okay, okay! No need to be so grumpy! Let's go to the garden, I've planted so many beautiful flowers which Tomioka-San would absolutely adore!"
She smiled wide with excitement as she led him to the garden. He followed her reluctantly, still mumbling to himself about the stupidity of the whole situation.
"Why the hell am I doing this again? I'm not good with this squishy romantic shit!"
He shook his head, continuing to walk through various kinds of flowers."Do you like this one? Or this one? Or this one!"
Mitsuri didn't seem to stay quiet at all.Sanemi sighed, looking at all the flowers. He didn't find anything interesting about picking flowers, instead, he thought of it as the most boring thing that he could ever do.
Ugh, I don't want to pick... Can't she just choose something pretty and give it to me or something!?
He thought, clearly annoyed. His eyes widened as a faint, sweet smell seemed to merge with the fragrance of the flowers all of a sudden.
"What's with that sweet smell?"
He asked, looking around the garden curiously.Mitsuri turned back.
"Oh! That's the honey I've been harvesting! Hehe, it's really sweet! It's also very delicious when you put them on pancakes, Shinazugawa-San! Wanna try them sometime?"
She asked, the eagerness in her voice bubbling up even more. What the fuck are pancakes?
Sanemi was curious, but he didn't question it. Instead, he looked shocked at the sight of the bees in her garden.
"You keep bees over there?"
"Mhm! It's amazing, isn't it?"
She smiled wide.Sanemi exhaled softly.
"Let's... let's just continue..."
