As the days went by, the excitement for the festival only grew stronger. Sanemi found himself getting more and more anxious, his mind racing with thoughts of the proposal he had planned.
He had prepared himself perfectly, and all he needed now was for tomorrow to arrive.
Giyuu was in his place, cleaning his sword quietly.
"What could he possibly be planning? I know I shouldn't think about it... but..."
He scratched his head.
"I really want to know... if only I hadn't promised him not to be nosy..."
He sighed, keeping his sword aside.
Sanemi, on the other hand, was in his own room, nervously packing around.
"What if... What if he refused...?"
He shook his head nervously and walked to his mirror. He took a deep breath in.
"I guess I should just..."
He paused and cleared his throat, looking at his reflection with a determined expression.
"G-Giyuu... W-Will you... you marry-"
His face turned red as he stuttered each word out.
"What the hell!? I look so fucking stupid! He'd laugh at me like this!"
He cursed himself for even trying.

Giyuu was sitting on his bed, his eyes wandering around the room aimlessly. His thoughts were consumed by Sanemi completely right now.
"I wonder what he's doing right now..."
He sighed heavily.
"I should probably try not to think much..."
He got up, walking out of his place, still quite anxious.
Everyone was really excited for tomorrow. Mitsuri, though was the most excited. It was almost as if she couldn't control herself, unable to wait. She walked around, humming a song and hoping the day would pass quickly.
On her way, she saw Giyuu walking down the street. She noticed his anxious face, quite curious.
"Is that Tomioka-San...? Tomioka-San!!!"
She called out to him happily. Her voice bright and cheery.
She waved to him as she approached, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
"What's got you looking so worried?"
Giyuu looked around slowly as Mitsuri's cheerful voice snapped him out of his thoughts.
He composed himself, trying to look calmer.
"I-It's nothing important, Kanroji. Just... a bit on edge about tomorrow."
His eyes darted away briefly before meeting hers again.
Mitsuri tilted her head to the side curiously.
"On edge about tomorrow?"
She repeated, her eyebrows furrowing slightly.
"But tomorrow is the spring festival! It's supposed to be fun!"
She smiled nervously.
"Aren't you excited?"
She paused for a while, gasping softly.
"...Don't tell me you won't come!"
Giyuu sighed, rubbing the back of his neck.
"I... I'll be there, of course. I wouldn't miss it."
He forced a small smile.
"I just... have a lot on my mind, that's all."
Mitsuri's expression immediately softened with concern.
"Is everything okay?"
She took a few steps closer and gently touched his sleeve.
"You can tell me if something's bothering you... maybe I can help?"
Her voice was gentle, almost comforting.
