Katlego.

She places her pen at a dark blue surface of the Xray board and she looks at me.

"This area shows that there's already a certain amount of bruising that's starting to show on your kidney as a result of it being untreated and I am afraid that at this rate it's going to start to fail and we won't be able to save what's left of it and you will be forced to have a transplant which need I remind you the wait list is quiet long."
She says as she takes a seat behind her desk and she clasps her hands together over the table and she looks at me like the old professional she is.

"I thought that the Gumedes had access to really good Healthcare."
I quote what Kabo said sarcastically.

"But their money won't bump you up that waitlist."
She says and I go quiet.

"I thought the treatment was supposed to be working."

"The treatment was only meant to hold you off until surgery which should have been performed long ago Miss Moeketsi."

"Well I have a son who I love more than anything and this surgery puts me at a risk of never seeing him again. I can't do that to my son, I've sacrificed too much."

"Your sacrifices will be in vain once this kills you."

"They won't, my son is worth every one of those sacrifes including this....I just need a little time."

"You can't keep asking for more time... this causes more harm for you than good."

"I know..."
I snap before I look at her.

"But I am all he has right now."
I tell her and she gives me a look that says the obvious, that Letho has the Gumedes but she doesn't understand, none of them do.

"Two weeks and then I am preparing you for surgery or else I can't continue to treat you, your unwillingness to get help is putting my job at risk."
She snaps back as she closes her file and she slips me a envelope for my prescription.

"This is my decision to make, not yours or the Gumedes, so stop shoving this surgery down my throat."
I tell her and she goes quiet.

"I will keep in touch about my prescription meds."
I say as I get up from the chair now and I take my note and I walk out of the door and out of the practice.

I find a black BMW X3 waiting for me outside of the practice and I climb inside in the back seat and the driver takes me back to Kabos house and when I get there I make sure that I don't pass by the house I go straight to the guest house, I am not in the mood for Nkanyezi or Lubanzi or the twins, I just want to cuddle my son and go to sleep, I want to be alone tonight.

As soon I open the door to the guest house she's sitting in the living room with a mug in her hand...  she's gotten creative with her drinking these days.

"Hy."
I freeze by the door before i greet her as I walk into the house and I place my bag on the kitchen counter and I turn to look at her and she's just sitting with that mug in her hand and she's still staring ahead.

"Dr Nene told me that you still don't want to do the surgery."
She starts and I release a sigh as I walk around the couch and I take a seat on one of the complimentary chairs.

Obviously she said something to her.

"What happened to patient doctor confidentiality ? I could her sue her."

"I asked her to keep me updated on your progress..."

"Wow."
I say as I scoff.

"Look I know how it sounds okay, I know and I am sorry for this but...."
She pauses as her features grow soft and she places the mug on her thighs and I see steam coming from it.
