Kaboentle.

Walking into the palace after the whole Fiasco with Natasha feels completely different, Sanele may her gotten rid of everything but people don't forget and I can feel it right now as I receive mild stares from the palace staff and also the fact that days after the news broke out Siya got shot, two days before he was supposed to be handed the throne.

I continue my walk into the rest of the palace and I get to the kitchen where I find Siyas mother with a cup of ginger tea in her glass mug and she's just silently staring ahead outside and she's alone, for once it's not buzzing in here.

I step closer to her and as soon as she hears my foot steps she turns her and her puffy red eyes find mine and my heart breaks immediately, out of everybody else she's the one person that I've dreaded seeing because she will make me feel horrible inside. I know that I feel horrible inside although I am the one that did but I know she feels worse, she's lost Duma already and I can only imagine that the same amout of pain she felt when he died is revisiting her again.
Nobody else knows that Siya was having an affair, nobody else except Sanele and I and I am happy that he is keeping it that way.

"Sawubona mah."
I greet as I pull a chair and I take a seat next to her and she just stares at me as her brows begin to knit together and she remains quiet.

"Sawubona ngani yami."

"Have you gone to see him today ?"
She asks as she gently caresses her mug with her thumb and I give her a small nod.

"There still isn't any Improvement."
I tell her and she purses her lips together nodding while at it.

He's bad... really bad.  I've seen Siya in bad states but this one ? This one is scary, there isn't any hole that isn't filled with a pipe on his body along with its own technology, the amount of machinery in there with him is overwhelming and what's worse is seeing him so lifeless. Nkanyezi keeps asking to do video calls whenever I go to see him but I don't want her to see him this weak.

"The doctors said that it's going to take a really long time for him to get back to us..."
I tell her and she shakes her head and she sniffs.

"Who would do this ? Who would do something this horrible ?"
She asks more like to herself before she looks at me again.

"I just hope that things can go back to being normal after this, our family still needs him."

"We just have to stay strong, and we just need to motivate him to keep fighting..."
She says as she wipes her tear and she takes a  sip of her tea.

"Ukayise yena ? Unjani ?"
[ And daddies girl ? How is she ?]
She asks and a small involuntary smile escapes from my lips at the thought of her.

"She's going crazy... but atleast she's agreed to settle for me in his absence."
I tell her and she smiles at me now.

"And Lubanzi ? How is he ?"
I ask her and she releases a small sigh.

"Angry."
She says and i look away from her.

"But he's just a child, he'll get over this... he just doesn't understand yet."

"That I put his biological mother in a mental institute?"

"You explained everything Kabo... that woman is nothing but trouble and if anything I am proud of you for holding this knife by the sharp end..."

"The sharp end has completely ruined my family, the two people that i was trying to protect,Siya was till upset with me before his... accident and Lubanzi hasn't said anything to me since he stormed here."
