Khwezikazi.

"Aunti mommy told me that your a lawyer right so I have a question ?"
He says as he makes his way to me in his school uniform as he prepares himself to plomp down on the swinging chair with me.

How did he find me and when did he get here?

"Well a few questions to be exact, Is it true that you put bad guys away ?"
He corrects himself before asking his first official question and I can't help but find how cute his little lisps is, the stage of having those two missing teeth is actually really fascinating, how do you do life after losing those teeth.

"Well I don't really put bad guys away but, I help people get back what bad people try to take away from them... I help people in a way."

"Mmhm... like what ?"
He asks as he moves near me now, cuteness and doe eyes, dirty untucked uniform and a drop of ketchup chilling on his collar.

"There was this one time I had an old lady that wanted to live with her grand children after the  children's parents died and the court wanted the children to be adopted by another family and give them a different home. So the granny came to me and asked if I can help convince the court to let her keep them."

"So did she keep them ?"

"Yeah she kept them and they lived really happy together from then on."

"Oh, that sounds better then putting bad guys away only, I mean yeah that's fun too but, what you do sounds cooler and I want to find a job that helps people too, I thought about being a fireman but, I don't think it's a good idea."
He says and I giggle at the last part.

"It's not all fun though because things tend to get complicated and sometimes I have to do the opposite."

"Like not helping people ?"

"Yeah, kind of and not because I don't want to but because of the situation, sometimes I have to help families break apart."

"That doesn't sound nice."

"I don't enjoy doing it either, it's kind of like doing that one subject that you hate at school but because it's school you have to do In order to pass but I enjoy school and I love school, I just hate math."
I explain and he pouts his lips a little as he stares away from me and he gives me a little nod.

"But school is nice, all the time."
He replies after a while and I give his cheek a little brush and he smiles at me.

Xhosa babies arnt bad though you know.

"Yeah, school is nice, and I love school."

"I think I want to be a lawyer too."
He adds excited before I grab onto him and I wrap my arms around him and I place gentle kisses on is face as he also wraps his arms around me.

"I think we should give it a little more thought and see if there are other good schools out there that we could look into."
I tell him referencing to our new term and he agrees after sometime before we move on to talking about our day as I slightly push at the ground so that the chair can swing us away until I spot Nolwazi power walking towards us.

"Milani, mkhulu is asking for you in the chicken coup."

"But mommy, I am still sitting with aunti Zi."

"Yes mommy, Milani and I are still cuddling."
I reply.

"Mkhulu is looking for you and those are your chickens that he's looking after."

"Okay fine, I'll go."
He says as he moves from out of my embrace and he makes his way to the farm side of the yard.

Nolwazi sits besides me and she nudges the chair and it swings higher with the both of us and we just watch ahead of as the nature and the world around us just keeps on moving forward.
