"So how are the preparations coming along ? Is everything going well ?"
Ausi Tshego asks over the phone and I release a sigh of exhaustion.
These Damn coronation preparations have me by the balls, I can barely even think on my own, my head is flooding and I am only just a girl.
"It's a lot, and it's demanding... ive just been super stressed lately."
"I can always come there and help you prepare, take things off your plate ,plus it's an excuse to come to KZN.
"You dont have to... I know abuti is also super busy that side as well."
"Nonsense... Kghosi can stay with the kids for a couple of days, plus it would give us time to catch up, you sound like you need a hug."
I do, I need a really strong hug. I just need to be rid of all of these burdens of trying to pull everything and everyones business in order even my own, it's too much.
Between being a wife, a mother, a planner and organizer and now soon to be queen and trying to stick my nose up in Katlegos health dilemma and being myself, it's a lot. We still have to decide if we're moving to the palace or not but Siyas always said that we don't need to make the move yet plus it's his parents first home, I want his mother to be able to keep that and us to be able to keep our normal lives. We've already settled into this house as our forever home, hell we built this house from scratch starting from the plugs that went into these walls to the kitchen design, everything, we were there for everything and we built this home knowing that it would be perfect for our family even with our little additions to the family every now and then and I don't want to give this up just yet.
It's a huge responsibility and the throne is the whole point of having to move to the palace but we're changing things now, things won't be like they used to.
"I'm okay, It's just stress from the planning plus I've also had to plan Nkanyezi's birthday party,
As well, she wants live unicorns and disney princesses."
"Disney princesses ?"
She asks.
"Yes ,live Disney princesses and she won't stop at anything to have them, she softened Siya up and got him to agree and now i am stuck with having to run around and find princesses."
"I think you should give that job to Siya I mean he's agreed to this."
"No Siyas been busy too, there's a lot of drama happening with the mines and also this coronation and the legalities... he already has a lot on his plate."
"All the more reason for me to come there."
She suggest and I smile because I know she won't let this agenda of hers fall through.
"Your pregnant Ausi Tshego I can't put this on you."
Plus the vibes are still a bit weird between Siya and my brother, since the day he beat Siya they haven't been able to bounce back from that and neither have I, the only people I've genuinely tried with is Ausi Tshego and the rest of my family and my other brother but Abuti Kghosi is just still put down that I didn't divorce Siya that day when he told me to, instead I stayed and I gave him more babies and I continued to become one of them.
"If you don't Kghosi will get me pregnant double."
She says and I start to laugh out loud this time as she also laughs on the other end and Siya walks in in his work attire and an exhausted look on his face.
"I'll try to see if I can knight and shining Armour you out of this situation."
"That would be much appreciated."
She replies before we bid fare well and we hang up.
As soon as I hang the phone Siya comes and he sits next to me on one of the couches in our bedroom and he releases a long sigh.
