Stacy.
I hear commotion in the living room area and I throw my book on the bed and I shuffle for my slippers on the floor as I get out of bed and I quickly walk to the living room to find Siyanda arguing with Khwezi but they don't see me because I've hid behind the wall.
What Is she doing here ?
"Siyanda I am so sorry, I never meant to put her and the baby in danger, I was angry and I should have never done what I did, if i can just apologize to Stacy and talk to her and -"
"She's sleeping."
Siyanda says and she goes quiet."Can I see Melo ?"
She asks, soft, desperate voice and everything. She doesn't look like herself, she looks a mess and she looks exactly like what she's going through.
"Melo's at Siyas house."
He answers as he folds his arms over his chest as tears begin to pool at her eyes. Why is Siyanda treating her like this, I get that what she did was fucked up but to treat her this way ?
"Siyanda I'm sorry for what I did, never meant to hurt any of them."
"Fourteen hours, she stayed in the emergency room for fourteen hours... you almost hurt my child, Stacy is another thing kodwa ingane yami Khwezi ? You went too far, who's to say you can't hurt Melo tomorrow ?"
[My child ?]
Siyanda say and she brushes her face as tears fall down her cheek."I wasn't thinking straight and I am incredibly sorry okay, I am sorry... I am going to therapy, soon."
"I know..."
He says and she looks at him again before she sniffs and wipes her nose with the sleeve of her sweater."I know that this is hard for anybody going through all of this, more especially for you and for where you've come from... Khwezi I've, watched you sacrifice yourself for him and I've seen the same with him, there's a lot of love between you both and in the same breath there's a lot that needs to be changed a lot that needs to be fixed. I am sorry that you have to go through this...but I can't justify what you've almost cost us as a family..."
He says and she stares away from him and she nods her head as she brushes at her pants."Okay... please let Stacy know that I was here, I brought her flowers and snacks I know she loves
dry mangoes right, so I bought those and that famous pistachio chocolate, I hope they make her feel better.""Thanks."
Siyanda says as he stares at her gift on the coffee table. She turns away and they both head for the door but he stops her before she heads out and he gives her a hug, a really long one before he whispers something to her and she nods her head and she continues to head out by that time I am standing in the living room area waiting for him to come back.
"Hey you're up ? How do you feel ?"
He asks as he walks towards me now in a concerned expression as his eyes carefully rake over my features."Why didn't you let Khwezi come to me ?"
"Because I didn't know how you'd react if you saw her again."
"She would never hurt me."
"I know."
"And she's my friend Siyanda."
"I know... but I am protecting my family, I can't sit here and act like she didn't put us through hell... she did."
"Siyanda, she's the only friend I have, all of my friends are scattered half way across the world, she's the only person that's been with me throughout everything."
