Maddie's pov:
"So?" Leo asked me as she got into my car the next morning.
After we had talked at lunch yesterday, I hadn't seen her since. I went home right after school, I barely talked to my parents at dinner, I didn't get any homework done. This was killing me.
"So what?" I asked. I obviously knew what she was referring to, I just didn't have any answers for her.
"Did you think a little about....you know what"
I scoffed and looked at her. "That's an understatement." I pulled away from her house and stared straight.
She sighed. "I'm really sor-"
"Please stop feeling bad, Leo." I said, interrupting her. "You're....right" I briefly glanced over at her and gave her a light smile. She studied my face and eventually looked away.
That was the first time I had admitted it out loud.
We sat in silence for a few minutes. I don't think she wanted to say anything else.
I pulled into the school parking lot and found a spot. Once I put the car in park, I didn't take the key out. I turned towards Leo and sighed.
"This is crazy right?" I asked her.
"Hm?" She titled her head and lowered her eyebrows.
"I mean.....it's Dylan."
Leo turned her head and looked straight out the window. She thought for a moment.
"I don't think it's crazy" she said, turning back towards me. "I think you just have to figure out if you really like her."
I put my hands up to my face and rubbed my forehead. "She probably doesn't even feel that way, I mean this is just.." I slammed my hands down on my lap. I can't believe I was even thinking about this.
"Let's just go in. I need to get this out of my head" I turned the car off and Leo nodded in response.
I grabbed my bag and stepped out. Leo followed. We walked into the building and said 'hi' to a few of the girls on the team.
Luckily I don't have history with Dylan today, so I can at least try to relax. Leo and I both have science first period, but with different teachers, so we walked to the 4th floor and separated to go to our different rooms.
I sat down at my usual lab table and started a conversation with the people next to me. I needed to focus on something else.

Leo's pov:
Of course I thought this whole Dylan thing was a crazy idea. I mean Dylan is literally known for sleeping with like half the soccer team.
And I'm not exaggerating. I honestly don't know what she's thinking.
But I wasn't going to tell Maddie that. If it was a guy I would have, but this time is different.
And I'm not trying to judge Dylan or whatever, she can hookup with whoever she wants to, I don't give a shit. But I just want Maddie to be happy, I mean her past two relationships ended horribly. I don't want to see her get hurt. She doesn't need to be with somebody who only wants one thing from her....again
But still, I was going to support her on this, cause that is what she needs right now. And who knows, maybe this could somehow work out.
After science, Mads and I met back up since we had art together. Art was basically a class where we could make any sort of weird-ass art piece we wanted, and we would still get an A. I fucking love that class.
