Friday
Dylans POV:
After school we all met up at Valerie's house. Kacey and I both had our cars so we parked them in front of V's house, and then got in her jeep. She was making us all get Starbucks and then we were gonna go hangout by the cove.
Kacey sat in the passenger seat and Shane and I sat in the back.
"Hey do we have to pay to get into this skateboard thing?" Shane asked and looked at Kacey for an answer. V pulled out of her driveway.
"hmm I honestly don't really know. I think you just have to pay if you want to compete. Oh and for pizza" she said.
"Okay."
"Dylan what time do you think you'll be there?"
"I don't know maybe 7:45 ish."
"K cool."
A few minutes later V got her coffee and we drove towards the beach. We found a spot alongside the road and parked. Once we got out, we walked over to the grassy area that had tables. There were a few picnic tables that were empty so we walked over to the one furthest in the corner. It was a little after 4 by now.
"So" V said, looking at me. Jeez she's really getting right to the point.
"So?..." Kacey said, confused.
I sighed and crossed my arms. "Okay I guess I have to tell you guys something." I said, looking at Kacey and Shane. "she already knows." I motioned towards Valerie.
"Uh okay." Shane said.
"Whats up?" Kacey asked, she had a concerned look on her face.
This is so stupid.

"So you haven't talked to her all week?" Shane asked. I shook my head.
"Don't you think thats a little harsh? I mean she's probably feeling pretty bad about it."
"Thats what I was saying." V said, I gave her a look and she averted her eyes down.
I looked back at Kacey. "I don't know, I guess."
"Maybe you should think about talking to her tonight?..." Kacey asked.
"I mean I doubt she'll be there but maybe." I said. I fiddled with my hands.
"Well Olivia will be there, I bet Maddie and Leo will too." she said.
I knew she was right about that.
We sat in silence for a moment before Kacey said something.
"So you like her?" she asked quietly.
I put my arms on the table. I looked away and ran my hand over my face. "Yeah..I guess." I said. I felt stupid saying it out loud, like it shouldn't matter this much. But it did, and I knew that.
I looked back at my friends who were all trying to hide the smiles on their faces. I rolled my eyes at them.
"Yeah yeah I told you so whatever" I said, lifting my arms on the table and put them on my lap. I gave my friends a light smile. I looked at my phone.
"Oh will you look at that its time for me to get home." I said, standing up.
"Whattt its so early." V said, looking at her phone.
"Yea but I gotta start cooking." I said.
"Aren't you guys ordering pizza." Kacey asked, narrowing her eyes at me.
