Maddie's pov:

When we stepped into Olivia's house Saturday night, there weren't that many people there. Or maybe it didn't seem like there were since the house was huge. It looked rustic on the outside, but the inside was decorated like a modern home. It was pretty.

"Hey guys!" I heard a voice say. Leo and I both looked at Olivia and smiled. Sadie stood behind us. "Glad you could make it"

"Yeah of course, thanks for inviting us." I said to her. "Oh and thanks for letting my sister tag along" I motioned towards Sadie. Olivia smiled at her and waved.

"Of course! It's nice to meet you."

"You too." Sadie said and smiled at her.

"Your house is beautiful" Leo said, looking around.

"Oh thanks. Tell that to my mom, she still thinks it's not good enough." Olivia said, laughing.

"Where are your parents anyways?" I asked her. I assumed they weren't in the house.

"They went on a little work trip to San Diego. They'll be back Monday." Olivia nodded.

"Oh nice." I said.

"Yeah....well I'm gonna go say hi to some more people. There's sodas in the kitchen...and Cole of course brought beer even though I told him not to" Olivia said, raising her eyebrows and shaking her head.

I nodded along. "We'll go grab some sodas, thanks." I said and I motioned for Leo and my sister to follow me to the kitchen.

Since most of our team was underclassmen this year, and Olivia didn't invite them, the party was pretty much filled with football players and some of her other friends.

After I grabbed a coke and Leo and Sadie grabbed a sprite, we made our way over to the living room where some of the senior football players were hanging out. On the way, Sadie saw Logan and split up from us to talk to him and his friends.

I saw Cole sitting on the couch so I walked up behind him and put my hand on his shoulder. He turned his head and smiled when he saw me.

"Yo Maddie, Leo, what's up. Didn't think you guys were coming"

"Yeah we thought we would stop by for a bit" I said. Leo nodded.

"yeah I'm glad yall did, want to join us?" He said, motioning for us to sit beside him. There were two other guys, Max and Gabriel who I believe were both wide receivers, were sitting on the other couch across from Cole.

"Yeah sure." I said. Leo and I both walked around the couch and took a seat next to him. Leo sat on the opposite end and I sat between them.

Max had a beer in his hand and Cole seemed a little tipsy.

"So guys.." Cole started to say. "Olivia's single right?"

Leo and I both looked at each other.

"Uhh yeah" Leo said.

"Think she'd go out with me?" He asked. Leo chocked on her soda. I shot her a look.

"We've been trying to tell him that she's way out of his league" Gabriel said laughing.

"Oh come on, you guys don't think I could pull her" Cole asked, gesturing his hands towards himself.

"Ummm I'm not gonna answer that" I said and looked at Leo, who was shaking her head.

Cole moved on and started talking about something else. I was only half paying attention. I was busy watching the front door, waiting for a certain someone to walk in. A few minutes later, she did. Olivia walked over and started talking to the 4 people that had walked through the door. I looked away, trying not to attract Dylan's eyes.
