37: Part 2: dazed and confused

Dylans pov:

I hadn't seen Valerie in a while. I knew Kacey was still with her but I was still a little worried.

Shane had left a little while ago to get back for his curfew, which had left me standing alone. I mean I was around some people, but I hadn't said more than a few words to them. I couldn't really focus on the conversation in front of me when there was so much background noise overpowering it.

I looked around to see if Valerie and Kacey had resurfaced. Still no sign of them. My eyes continued around the room but I stopped when I saw someone looking at me. It was Maddie. I wasn't sure why she was looking at me, but I smiled and she smiled back.

Suddenly I felt someone's hand on my arm. I turned my body a bit and saw Olivia in front of me. She said something but I couldn't hear her.

"What?" I yelled. She leaned in closer and talked into my ear. "Kacey needs your help. She said Valerie's really drunk and she's about two seconds away from puking. Oh and she also said she's gonna start puking if she's sees Valerie start puking."

I laughed and nodded. Kacey has a huge fear of people throwing up around her. I like to make fun of her for it.

"Where are they?" I said into Olivia's ear. It had gotten really loud in the house within the past hour.

"Upstairs. I'll walk you there." She said and she grabbed my hand to guide me through the crowds of people. More people had shown up to her house, and most people were now in the living room and front hallway, so it was a little difficult getting to the stairs.

Once we got there I let Olivia go up first and before I followed, I looked around. Cole had started drinking way before V and I hadn't seen him in a while. My eyes stopped once I found him, sitting on the couch with his friends.

I looked back to the steps in front of me and I started going up.

Olivia led me down a hallway to a closed door. She knocked before going in.

"Hey I found Dylan" she said as she stepped in to the bathroom. Valerie was on the floor next to the toilet. She wasn't throwing up yet, but was definitely on the verge of it. Kacey was standing as far away from her as possible.

"Dylan I swear to god I will not...I can not-"

"I know I know." I said, laughing. "You go, stand in the hallway. I'll hangout with her here."

I took a few steps towards V and put my hand on Kacey's shoulder, trying to nudge her towards the door.

Kacey nodded and immediately left the bathroom, leaving me and Olivia with Valerie.

"Olivia you don't have to stay, thanks for getting me." I said. I knelt down so I was next to Valerie. She was barely awake.

She sighed and looked down at us.

"Honestly I'm kind of sick of talking to people, and you look like you could use some help." She said.

I smiled at her and nodded.

Valeries eyes suddenly went wide and she coughed. "Ohhh I don't feel so good Dylan" she said to me.

"Oh god" I said, turning her body so that she was facing the toilet.
