Alina Nightshade doesn't think much about James Potter. Only that he seems rather keen on being annoying.
James Potter thinks Alina Nightshade is a mystery all wrapped up in a very pretty girl. And he is keen on trying to be her friend.
James Potte...

Finding the names of the two boys wasn't hard. Many people had seen them sprinting down the hall with an empty bucket in their hands.
Two older Hufflepuffs.
Apparently, they had no specific reason for targeting her; they weren't aiming for anyone in particular. Alina might have understood if they aimed for her. She would still seek revenge, but at least she'd know why.
No reason at all is a stupid fucking reason.
Alina is quite ready to get her revenge.
She found their dorm easily, and no, she doesn't feel bad for the other three people in the dorm—they are probably terrible too.
First, she pours powder into their shampoo and shakes it. It is hair dye powder, something she made herself. The color? Green.
A ghost of a smirk appears on her face as she moves on from the shampoo to permanently sticking all of their objects on the counter.
This is where Alina has the most fun.
Once she leaves the bathroom, she takes out her wand to light their beds on fire, ensuring the flames won't spread to the other beds or ignite the dorm. Just their beds and the homework on them.
Then she quickly leaves the boys' dorm, casually walking through the boys' dormitory halls before going down the stairs. Thankfully, no one is in the common room.
Alina swiftly leaves the Hufflepuff common room and heads to breakfast.
She woke up extremely early to get everything ready and ensure the boys would be gone for breakfast so she could execute her plan.
Now, they will be too scared to say anything.
Quite funny to her.
She only wishes she could see how the boys react once they see what happened to their dorm.
Alina walks into the Great Hall and immediately goes to the Slytherin table. Barty and his friends are already there. Barty regards her with suspicion as soon as she sits down.
His blue eyes narrow as he scans her from his seat beside her. "You're never late," Barty says. "What did you do?"
"Nothing," Alina replies. "Nothing that you need to know about."
"Oh Merlin," Barty mutters, turning his head back to look forward. "Did you put snakes in my dorm or something? Or spiders?"
"Nothing to do with you," Alina replies, giving Barty a small smirk before looking forward.
James Potter and his friends are already at their table. James is currently staring at her.
Alina arches a brow, and James immediately looks away, turning to the person beside him—Sirius.
Salazar, those boys are weird.

Alina sets her book down, the sound of it hitting the desk echoing through her silent dorm.
It is rather quiet. But she needs to get to the library to tutor James.
James is becoming more... tolerable.
Not that they are friends, but he is... easier to be around. Alina completely ignores whatever that could mean and gets up from her desk, grabbing a deep red sweater and pulling it on.
It is rather cold lately, each day bringing them closer to December; it is already November fifteenth.
Alina grabs her potions books, along with her personal notes, before leaving her dorm. The common room has a few students around, but Alina makes her way past them as she leaves.
Now it is time to climb many, many stairs to get to the library.
She makes it there quicker than usual. The library is quiet, the candles dimmer than they are in the hallways, with a small hum from students talking quietly.
Alina walks between shelves filled with books to find the table she and James usually sit at.
He is already there.
Alina pauses in her steps, her head tilting as she sees James staring down at the open book in front of him.
"You're early," Alina says suddenly.
James looks up quickly, his face relaxing into a smile when he sees it is her. James shrugs slightly. "I was bored in my dorm," he says, his eyes scanning her.
Alina looks down at her sweater. Fuck. It is red. She sucks in a breath and simply moves to sit beside him.
Two days ago, water had been poured on her, and James had seen... her bra. Alina isn't one for embarrassment; truthfully, she doesn't care. But it feels like James has seen more of her than anyone ever has—not just physically, but emotionally too.
Despite not really being emotional in front of him, she has spoken more than she usually would.
Maybe she needs to push him away.
"Sunshine?" James calls her from her thoughts.
Alina flinches slightly, turning to look at him. "We should get started," is all she says as she sets her books on the table.
James smirks at her. "You look pretty in red."
Alina freezes slightly, her hands hovering over the books she has brought.
Pretty in red.
Pretty in red.
Pretty in red.
Alina gets a hold of herself, turning her head and glaring at the Gryffindor boy with his stupid Bambi eyes and his stupid messy hair.
Stupid.
Stupid Gryffindor boy.
James has a cheeky smile on his face, slightly laughing as he turns to face the books.
"Let's get started," Alina says, her eyes flickering back to the books, quickly opening the one in front of her. "I was–"
"You know," James interrupts, turning his body to face her, leaning his head against the palm of his right hand to stare at her. "I know it was you who lit those boys' dorm on fire," he says with a smile, his eyes glinting in the candlelight.
Alina turns, looking at him. "It was just their beds," she narrows her eyes. "But I have no idea what you're talking about, Potter."
James's smile widens, his chest moving with laughter as he once again turns to face forward. "Sure, sunshine."
Alina rolls her eyes, half wondering if the tolerance she thought she had for James was a hallucination.
