Chapter 28

Kayden paced back and forth, realizing he was in an unfamiliar place. He kept walking and walking.

"What is this place?" He thought. He continued to walk until he saw someone familiar.

"Andy?" A smile rose on his lips. He ran toward where Andy was but couldn't reach her no matter what. Is it what they call a desperation? Yes. Kayden is desperate. He never thought that he could act this way for just one girl.

"Why? Come back, Andy! Don't... Don't go!" He shouted.

As he looks at the far image of someone whose back looks like Andy's, a lone tear falls from his eyes. He stretched his hands, hoping he could reach Andy, yet she seemed to get far away every second. Then, in a matter of seconds, the girl looked back.

Dismay and shock can be seen on Kayden's face as the girl looks back. It was a faceless girl. Right, why did he even think it was Andy? He didn't even know what Andy looked like! All he knows is Andy is Jane in their world, but now? What does she really look like?

The girl slowly walked toward him, making him step back a little. It seems he was taken aback for a moment. As the girl slowly made her way toward him, it stopped and said "When will you find me? You promised right?"

Kayden froze. He can't find the right words to say and even more, he doesn't know how!

"I hate you!"
"I hate you!"
"I hate you!"

Those words rang over and over in Kayden's ear.

"Kay! Kay!"

Kayden woke up with a strong shake from Keith. He rubbed his eyes with his palm and looked Keith in the eyes.

"What?" He asked.

"What? What is happening to you? Is something that bothering you?" Keith asked back. It's the first time that he has seen Kayden like this.

"I mean, look at you!" He added then pointed his two hands at Kayden.

Kayden now is in a state of mess. His hair was a mess, his suit was crumpled, and his eyes, his eyes were covered with eye bags. Literally!

The latter touched his head and massaged it. Yeah, why is it even happening to him? Was Andy just a dream that only he, knows? 
Should he just move on?

"Are you okay?" Asked Keith. Concerns were visible on his face.

"Yeah. I'm good." With that, Kayden stood up and removed his suit. He then took the towel that was hanging on the wall and left toward the bathroom.

"Hmm, okay. I guessed I should just leave him alone this time." Keith thought.

"I'll just leave these documents on your table okay?" He shouted but no answer from Kayden, so, he just put it on Kayden's table and accidentally touched the laptop mouse pad on Kayden's table. It was left open before Kayden fell asleep due to exhaustion. Kayden never really puts passwords on his laptop since he never uses it. The only time he'll use it is for searching things. Also, Kayden trusted his employees, especially Carl and the others so no one would touch his things. Moreover, his room has passwords that his trusted employee only knows.

The laptop suddenly opens and his recent searches show. Keith unintentionally looked at it and frowned. When did Kayden start having an interest in this kind of stuff?

He browses the search history and it seems it's the only thing he researches. But then, he never really knows what is going on with Kayden's mind so he just shrugged it off. He then closed the tabs and put them on the desktop. There, he saw the smiling photo of Jane being its wallpaper.

"Jane?"

"Jane!" Called Dwayne. He walked toward where Jane was sitting.

"Hey, what's up." She smiled while looking at Dwayne. Fun fact. Dwayne was actually the real Jane type. Handsome but not too Handsome. Cool, but friendly. Too far from Kayden.

"So how is it going?" Asked Dwayne, fidgeting his fingers. He then sat down beside Jane.

Jane frowned. She didn't understand the question. "With what?" She asked.

"You know, with your Kayden Hayes?" He faked his smile while looking far away.

"Oh, it's... okay? I guess?" Jane looked to the other side not knowing what the right answer was.

"So, you still don't talk to each other after the hospital incident? Don't you still remember him?" Asked Dwayne, he was still confused yet, there was hope in his eyes. He really likes Jane, so what's there to be afraid of?

"No, I remembered him." She looked up and swayed her feet then smiled. "Let's just give us some space." She added.

Dwayne looked at the sky too. Seeing the clouds making weird shapes made him smile. At that moment, Jane looked at him and smiled too.

"What are you thinking?" She asked.

"Nope. Nothing at this moment. I just found the clouds cute." He replied, but maybe, deep inside he was happy. It may be weird to feel happy seeing Jane and Kayden like that but, what can he do? He's still a human incapable of suppressing his feelings.

"You're... Silly... but maybe you're right. They're not just cute. They're pretty." She uttered.

"Okay, let's not talk about silly things now. Just remember, if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here okay? I can listen. I can also land some punch on Kayden's proud face any moment." He boasted then laughed at the same time. Who knows? Maybe he can really do that? Now that Kayden is in shambles, maybe he really can, right?

"Sure. Thanks." She smiled and stood up. "Let's head inside and grab some snacks, you want?" She then dusted her pants and stared at Dwayne.

"You bet! I've been waiting for you to say that!" He giggles. He then stood up and walked behind Jane, who was now walking toward their mansion.

It's another day in Andy's life. It's been a week since she went back to her original body and changes can be seen in her lifestyle. She can now get out of her house without being shy as if she's still Jane and the way she looked changed drastically. Her hair is now cut short, no visible pimples on her face and a glowing skin. Jane really did a magic on her that's for sure.

From the time that their body changed, Jane actually made changes not only in her physical appearance but also in her life and works. She is now a business woman after Jane put all her savings on a wItcoin account and bloomed in such a short time. And now? Andy just continued the life Jane made for her.

"It's such a good life but I still feel empty." She muttered looking at the book she was holding. After the body exchange, Andy didn't dare to read the book again in the fear that she might want to go back and ignore the things that Jane gave to her.

"Is it bad to feel that way?" She sighed.
