Dwayne shifted his position to face Jane, his eyes alight with sudden curiosity as he leaned in closer, his voice tinged with intrigue. "Hey, I've been wondering about something for a while now," he said.

Jane, her forehead creasing with confusion, responded with a warm smile, "About what?"

"Remember the time when we were in the library? The moment when we were engrossed in conversation, and Kayden Hayes unexpectedly joined us?" Dwayne asked, gazing at Jane intently as they sat together on a weathered wooden bench.

"Hmm, I think so. What about it?" said Jane, looking away into the distance. She couldn't recall any of it, as it was still Andy who had control of her body at that moment.

"Um, Kayden used to call you Andy at that time, and I'm sorry, but I overheard you talking together last time. He's asking whether this Andy came back, so who is this Andy you're talking about?" Dwayne's curiosity was palpable, and he couldn't hide it.

In that instant, Jane shifted her gaze to Dwayne, weighing whether to continue keeping her secret. His inquisitive question indicated that he might already have some suspicions.

"Do you have any thoughts about me? Can you sense anything?" Jane asked, causing Dwayne to blush momentarily.

"Um, well... What exactly do you mean?" stammered Dwayne.

"No, not that... I know what you're thinking. What I mean is, do you feel that something has changed about me?" Jane asked, a hopeful smile playing on her lips as she awaited Dwayne's response.

"Hmn, now that you've mentioned it, I think something has indeed changed about you," Dwayne replied, his gaze fixed on Jane.

"What is it?" Jane inquired, her curiosity piqued.

"After your vegetative state, I noticed that you rarely read books," Dwayne observed, to which Jane nodded in agreement. "Also, it seems like you don't have the same enthusiasm for... Kayden anymore," he added softly, almost as if he was expressing a secret hope.

Dwayne's voice was resolute as he added, "And one more thing, we had a lot of time together now that Kayden is not roaming around you anymore. You've just changed, you know?"

Jane took a moment to collect her thoughts, letting out a deep sigh. "Well, here goes nothing," she thought to herself before finally speaking up. "It's up to you whether you'll believe me or not, but I feel like you deserve to know the truth about who Andy is and what actually happened." With a solemn gaze fixed on Dwayne, she began recounting every single detail of the events that had transpired.

Dwayne was utterly stunned by this unexpected disclosure. Did Jane mean to suggest that she had undergone a profound transformation, or was she insinuating that she was somehow inhabited by another entity, no longer the person he had known? Was she implying that the Andy she mentioned was, in fact, the individual he had fallen in love with? The situation was incredibly perplexing and difficult to accept. How could such a thing be possible?

Dwayne stammered, his hand instinctively reaching for his head as he tried to process the shocking revelation. "Wait, how is that even possible? Are you saying that you are not the same Jane? There are other Janes, and that Andy is the Jane I knew?"

After confiding in Dwayne, Jane nodded, acknowledging that by revealing everything to him, she might have altered the dynamic of their relationship. She was aware that her confession could potentially change Dwayne's feelings towards her, and she understood that this shift was unavoidable.

"I'm sorry that I kept that a secret," Jane said, her voice barely above a whisper as she lowered her head. "But you asked, and I knew I had to let it out. I understand if you hate me because of that."

Dwayne looked at Jane, his eyes reflecting a mix of confusion and concern. "But you're still Jane, right? The one I've been hanging out with these past few days?" he asked, searching for reassurance. Despite the confusion and the weight of the revelation, he couldn't deny that he had found happiness in her company. Even though everything was a bit hard to understand, he still wanted to believe that Jane was still Jane, and Kayden just couldn't see the treasure in front of him.

Jane gazed at Dwayne and declared, "All I can tell you is that I am the genuine Jane, and everything I share with you is authentic." Dwayne gently took her hand and enveloped her in a warm embrace. "I cherish you just the way you are, and I will continue to do so, regardless of anything else," he reassured her. With unwavering conviction, he met Jane's gaze, cupped her face in his hands, and said, "You are undeniably Jane, and that is all I need to believe. Understand?" He then playfully chuckled and affectionately pinched Jane's cheeks, prompting her to pout in response.

"Thank you," Jane said, her eyes sparkling with joy. "You know what? I should just confess everything," she added.

"What?" asked Dwayne, a mix of curiosity and concern in his voice. What else should she confess? Was there something important he needed to know?

"I think I like you," Jane confessed, her face turning a deep shade of red as she looked into the distance.

"W-what did you say?" Dwayne stammered, feeling his cheeks grow warm. But before he could say anything else, Jane abruptly stood up and ran away, calling out, "No repeating!" as she giggled. Dwayne couldn't help but laugh as he followed her, the air filled with a mix of surprise and delight.
