“It’s me,” Kayden said, his voice steady as he spoke into his phone, the sunlight filtering through the window casting a warm glow in the room.

“Have you received the address I sent you? I need you to meet me there at 1400H.” He paused briefly, listening to the response on the other end before concluding the call with a swift click. Glancing at his watch, he noted it was already noon, the hands creeping closer to his next appointment. Time was of the essence.

He turned to Andy, who was sitting comfortably on the plush sofa, her gaze curious. “Hey, uhm, I just need to step out for a bit. If you need anything, just let Ms. Patty know,” he said, gently caressing her hair with his fingers, a gesture that spoke of comfort and affection. Andy looked up, her face brightening with a warm smile as she nodded in understanding. Ms. Patty, the kind woman who had cared for both of them during their childhood, was like family to them. Andy had quickly grown fond of her because of Ms. Patty’s gentle nature and playful spirit, always making her laugh.

“I’ll be back by five to pick you up. I have a little surprise planned for you,” Kayden promised, leaning down to place a soft kiss on her forehead. He waved goodbye, the warmth of his affection lingering in the air as he exited the villa.

Once Kayden was gone, Andy picked up the phone Kayden had left behind, her heart racing with excitement. She dialed a familiar number, eager to reach out to a friend who could help her. The phone rang, and soon a voice answered.

“Uhm, hello! It’s me, Andy. How are you?” she asked, a hint of nervousness creeping into her tone. “I wanted to see if you could come to this address I’m going to send you. Can you meet me there at 1:00? I really need your help.” She paused, biting her lip, hoping her friend would agree.

“Sure, no problem! I’ll be there. I’ll also bring someone with me,” the voice on the other end replied with enthusiasm before the call ended.

Feeling exhilarated, Andy rushed to find Ms. Patty. “Ms. Patty, I’m going to meet with a friend!” she exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement. “But it’s a secret from Kayden. I want to surprise him!”

Ms. Patty smiled knowingly, her eyes twinkling with warmth. “Of course, dear. Just be careful,” she said, quickly prepping the driver and arranging for the car that would take Andy to her mysterious meeting place. With a wave goodbye, she wished Andy well, her heart full of anticipation for the little adventure ahead.

"Jane!" Andy exclaimed, her heart racing with excitement as she spotted her friend sitting on a weathered wooden bench near the bustling jewelry store. The sun cast a warm glow around them, accentuating the lively atmosphere of the street. Beside Jane, three cups of iced coffee sat, hinting that someone else was about to join their small reunion, just as Jane had mentioned during their phone call earlier.

"Andy!" Jane responded with a bright smile, her eyes sparkling with joy. "How are you? You look absolutely stunning!" she teased, her playful spirit shining through.

"Oh, come on! You're the one who's stunning. Honestly, you look more fabulous than I do," Andy replied, brushing off the compliment but unable to contain her own smile. As Jane gestured for her to sit beside her, Andy felt a rush of warmth from the friendship they shared.

"It's Dwayne, remember him? We've actually been dating for a month now," Jane revealed, her expression lighting up with the happy secret. Andy's eyes widened in surprise, and she couldn't help the gasp that escaped her lips. Knowing they were both in each other's lives brought her genuine happiness.

"Congratulations! I’m genuinely thrilled for both of you," Andy said as she wrapped her arms around Jane in a warm hug, feeling the excitement radiating between them.
