The plot twist was: that I barely slept.
And that, it was normal when I was engulfed in this anxious feeling. Since 3 a.m., I'd been sitting on the bed with a high bun of my hair, hugging my knees closed to my chest as I stared outside into the dark. A random thought came visiting me - is it already summer? I got lost in time.
Kevin was still here, sleeping ever so soundly on the couch provided in this room. He really slept well anywhere but his bed, I guessed. Because he often told us about his insomnia but right now he didn't look like he suffered from one.
Just then, the boy opened his eyes, stretching his body next while yawning before he found me looking at him. And he flinched.
"What time is it?" He asked in his raspy voice which dumbly made me smile. Was it something to smile?
"7 a.m.," I answered and he shot me a look.
"Still early... Why don't you have more sleep?" He questioned, jolting up and lunged to the chair next to my bed.
"It's been 4 hours since I'm awake. I can't sleep," I shrugged, pursing my lips into a thin line.
He sighed, skimming my barefaced features. Well, I guessed, my bare face wouldn't be a nightmare to him since I rarely wore makeup every time we were together. So, extra points for that.
"You should wake me up." He said
"Why should I?"
"So that you won't be lonely."
I chuckled, not responding to anything and instead, I laid the side of my head on my knees and looked at the now bright outside again. I wondered if there was any change while I was inside here. Did something change from the way Moonlights see me - from negative to positive or vice versa? Did Daisy stop this childish war which was not funny at all?
"What are you thinking about?" Kevin asked, trying to make me look at him. But, to no avail. The scene outside was far more calmer.
Instead of answering his curiosity, I threw him a question that I'd been dying to know, still not breaking the stare from the outside.
"How did you find out?"
"Huh?" He sounded confused which I couldn't help from finding out how did he look. So, I lifted my head and looked straight at him, he felt intimidated. "Urm... I was curious as to why I couldn't access the page - like I told you that day. So, I tried to fix the system and found out that... only some users were banned."
I smirked and an airy chuckle unknowingly left my system. This whole thing was funny. Haknyeon thought his prevention to ban me and my friends would've helped but he forgot that Kevin was a genius. He would take one step further from anyone else. Some more, he was the one who established the page, of course, he knew what to do.
Just how would Haknyeon react to this news?
"I couldn't recall if I've said it yet or not," I breathed in, "I'm sorry Kev... I didn't mean to leave you out in this matter."
"Hey, take it easy," he pondered, meeting our eyes together. "Chanhee told me everything. And I know he and Jacob brought you here. Luckily, you were with them."
I forced myself to smile but at the same time, I couldn't stop the frown from forming on my face. I'd started to feel so tired and it was just 15 minutes past 7.
"Sleepy?" He took a guess which I just nodded. "Then, sleep... I'm not going anywhere."
"Aren't you working?" I weakly asked, lightly stretching in the process.
