I couldn't remember when was the last time I laughed so hard until my stomach killed me with numbness. But, I was glad that I was still able to experience it though ironic how I was laughing while the feud between me and Daisy was still ongoing.
Or... should I say that the issue had slowly gone down? And most likely I was leading as the winner. All thanks to Kevin who had been exposing everything.
The reason why I was laughing right now was because of Sunwoo and his sarcastic post in Moonlights portal. Haknyeon had lifted the ban, so I needn't sneak silently to view it through Kevin's iPad anymore.
That Sunwoo's post was the first thing that caught my eye.
'To all the betrayers, what does it feel to crawl back after the truth came out? HAHA!!' It read.
What was funny for me was how Sunwoo said it. Somehow, I could imagine his expression and tone used when he said those although we just met once for all this time.
Once. We'd just met once yet he defended me like I was his friend for his whole life. Maybe he was a true fan, a loyal one. I should suggest that Sangyeon certify him. Maybe giving him some sort of benefit?
My life update that nobody asked: that everything had been sorted out.
After the dramatic post Kevin made, obviously, many truths had come to light. Many questions were raised by everyone who was invested in this matter as well - did Daisy lie? Why did Ivy never speak up? What's actually happening?
Evelyn told us the next day that Daisy called her. Not to apologize but to vent out. She said she received a lot of hate DM from her followers and that she questioned how much we paid Kevin to lie about our relationship. Evelyn proudly told her, yes, they are dating and she went silent about it.
I guess, she felt bad for telling the netizen that I was the delusional girl who hadn't gotten her feelings reciprocated. Well, I won't blame her for that part since the last time we talked, she only knew that me and Kevin were having a one-sided love. It wasn't my fault that she wasn't with us anymore when my boyfriend confessed.
Oh and not to forget the praises Kevin received which made me boil with some sort of jealousy. Girls were simping over him. He even received the title of 'A handsome boyfriend who can be mistaken as a prince charming'.
Right on time, my handsome boyfriend was calling which ended my laughing streak.
"I'm here, come down," he said and I hummed as a response.
"Satisfied!" Checking my reflection in the mirror for one last time, my hair was quite a sight - mother's touch. The black dress with some glittering on it was the main point because I would be shining the most tonight.
It was Sangyeon's plan. To have a company dinner, replacing the award ceremony the team and I missed to go. All the staff and other writers working in the company would be there along with my friends. It was more of a private event with quite many guests.
"Drive safely, Kevin," I heard my mother say from the threshold of the front door when I came down, and unknowingly I ran faster to greet the boy.
But, my body flinched as soon as I joined them, and my eyes hysterically scanning him from head to toe.
"What is going on here?" I felt traumatized upon seeing his outfit - all black from head to toe with black sunglasses covering his monolid eyes and white earpieces connected to his ear. "Whose idea is this?"
"No need to know, Missy," he extended his hand forward. "I'm your bodyguard and am here to escort you."
I cackled.
