"Mahika let's go" I said, held her hand and walked to the car.
I opened the door for her to sit, I closed the door and went to the driver's seat.
She wore a blue hoodie and black jeans. I wore a white shirt and cream cargo pants.
I was planning on wearing a blue suit, but seeing her wear a hoodie I changed my clothes.
I already informed Mom that we would have dinner outside.
I drove the car to an isolated place. There were only trees and a river nearby.
I set up a dinner date for us by the river bank. I hung fairy lights on all the trees surrounding the table so that we would have enough brightness even when it got dark. I even set up a camera to record everything so that we can watch it on our every anniversary and relive it. And also show it to our kids one day.
"Where are we going Aadrik?" she asked me.
"You will know soon," I said.
I stopped the car a little away from the location.
I gave her a blindfold to wear.
"Please wear it, I have a surprise for you," I said and she immediately agreed.
I drove to the location. I got out of the car and helped her out as well.
I lit the bonfire, made her stand closer to the river and turned on the camera.
I took the ring box out of my pocket and got on one knee.
"You can remove the blindfold," I said.
She was shocked after she took off the blindfold.
She looked at me with tearful eyes, smiling.
"With all the elements of nature as witnesses, will you Mahika give Aadrik the honour of being your husband all the seven lives?" I popped the question.
Her lips trembled and tears left her eyes.
"Yes," she said.
I put the ring on her finger and got up and hugged her.
"I love you Aadrik" she said and kissed me on my cheek.
I gave her the ring for me.
She got on her knees. I was trying to stop her but she said "Allow me."
"With all the elements of nature as witnesses, will you Aadrik give Mahika the honour of being your wife all the seven lives" she asked me and I immediately said yes.
I went down on my knees and she put the ring on my finger. I hugged her tightly like my life depended on it.
