It's been a few weeks since the proposal and every day after that was filled with excitement and love.
This morning, I woke him up with kisses. He is free from his punishments after the proposal. He deserved my forgiveness.
"I love you lotus" he said.
"I love you more," I said.
"No, I love you more," he said.
"But I loved you longer" I said and he smirked.
"I have been in love with you for almost twenty years," he said.
Twenty years? I am not believing him. I haven't even known him that long.
"Liar"
"I am not lying" he said kissing my cheek. He was lying on the bed while I lay on him.
"You didn't even know me that long"
"You don't remember me? You came to our house back then with your father." He said trying to remind me but I couldn't even recollect a thing.
"I don't remember. But what did I do for you to fall in love with me?"
"You pushed me into the lake"
"What? Impossible" I chuckled.
"Because of that incident, my father built a waterfront railing barrier around the lake."
I couldn't believe the words that left his mouth. I threw him in the lake and I don't remember, he is making it up.
"I wouldn't do such a thing. Stop making things up"
"I am not," he said laughing.
"I don't believe you."
"You can ask Chaitra. She remembers the incident but she doesn't know that you are that girl."
"Why did I do that?"
"I was threatening Chaitra to throw her into the lake because she was getting mischievous day by day. You came out of nowhere and pushed me into the water and told her to run and disappeared." He said and guffawed at my terrified expression.
I did that? I don't remember doing any such thing.
Oh my god!
"Do Mom and Dad know?" I asked. I don't know how I will face them again if they knew, I would be embarrassed as hell.
"No, we told them I slipped and fell."
He just won't stop laughing.
"When did you know I was the same girl?"
"The night we got married. I had a small doubt whether it was you when I asked you to marry me."
