What a weird stranger he was.

The one thing that attracted me to him was that I didn't feel anxious around him at all.

After the incident on the trip, I couldn't speak to anyone, I couldn't let anyone touch me. I had to take therapy for a year and that wasn't an easy journey. Countless therapy sessions and countless tears I shed in them.

He gave me some kind of unknown strength which I lost the day I felt helpless.

After that day, my brother trained me in self-defence every time he came to India. His visits got more often than before. He blamed himself for my condition.

Ever since then, even if got a little scratch on my body, he would go insane, in the literal sense but it got better with time.

My parents also stopped protecting me all the time and gave me the freedom to learn and fight for myself.

I met Abhay when my life was going well, and he made it better.

He brought a real smile to my face which I lost a long ago.

We first met at the temple and then at the guest lecture. To be frank, initially, I was just attracted to him. Later I started liking him, and then I fell in love.

~flash back~

Today is our college fest. This is the last place I would like to be at.

We were allowed to get outsiders with a pass given to us, so it was more crowded than usual.

My friend is busy with her boyfriend, so I am alone right now.

All of a sudden, I felt pain in my abdomen.

Oh shit! I think I got my period.

I was trying to walk my way out of the crowd but no one was moving. They were pushing each other and that is making my condition worse.

All of a sudden, I could see him beside me.

"Can I hold your hand?" He asked.

"Excuse me?"

What a creep this guy is. I thought he was a nice person.

"I will help you," he said.

Oh! Couldn't he say that before?

Feeling my period cramps intensifying, I agreed.

He held my hand gently, I was behind him.

In no time we were away from the crowd.

"Thank you, brother," I said, he sighed and shook his head.

"It's fine," he said.

"You can leave my hand" I said and he left it immediately.
