Chapter 36: A Tomb

Int. Sakura House – Continuous

Futaba Sakura(O.S.): Wait!

Akira and the rest of the members of The Phantom Thieves pause and turn around, facing the room where the shout came from. The members of The Phantom Thieves all look at each other, all confused, before making their way towards the room. As soon as they are all in front of the door to the room where the scream came from, Akira scratches the back of his neck awkwardly.

Akira Kurusu: Uh...did you just yell for us to wait?

There's a small pause on the other side of the door, before Akira's cell phone dings, indicating that he has received a notification. Akira checks his cell phone and notices that he's received a text from Alibaba. Akira reads the text out loud so that everyone else can know what Alibaba has texted him.

Akira Kurusu: "I don't know how you figured it out but you're right. I am Futaba Sakura and even though it pains me to admit it, I really do need your help. This isn't something that I can figure out on my own. I've researched ways to cope with it and none if has helped at all. The Phantom Thieves are the only thing left that I can rely on. If you aren't busy helping other people, then I would really appreciate it if you could help me. Also, I don't like speaking out loud so try to forget about that yell just now. You mentioned that you wanted to know more about me, right? What exactly do you need to know?"

Makoto Niijima: It's a bit of a pain to have to speak with her through text but if she isn't comfortable talking to us face to face, we shouldn't try to force it.

Goro Akechi: Agreed. It sounds like she's been through enough, anyways.

Ryuji Sakamoto: Eh, it shouldn't be too hard to just talk with her over text, right? Right now, the most important thing we need are the other key words, besides her name.

Ann Takamaki: Try asking her if there are any places that hold a special meaning to her? That might help us narrow down a location, at the very least.

Akira Kurusu: That's a good idea.

Akira begins typing up a response text, asking Futaba whether or not there are any locations that hold a special meaning to her? Akira sends the text. After a few moments, his phone dings. After checking his cell phone, Akira sees that Futaba has responded to his text in the Alibaba text thread. Akira reads the text out loud, again.

Akira Kurusu: "As embarrassing as it sounds, I haven't left this room in a really long time...like a really long time. I don't have any places that have any special meaning to me, really. This room and house are the only places that I've known for so long. I'm sorry if this isn't much help."

Yusuke Kitagawa: Hm. It sounds like she might be a shut in.

Makoto Niijima: That's awful. I've heard things about shut ins and the kind of lives that they live. It's always made me so sad. Although, I guess that's not what's important, right now.

Goro Akechi: Although, that text might prove to be more useful than she thinks. Akira, pull up the Metaverse Navigation app, real quick. There's something that I want to try.

Akira Kurusu: Sure thing.

Akira pulls up the Metaverse Navigation App on his cell phone and then hands it to Akechi. Akechi speaks into the cell phone.

Goro Akechi: Futaba Sakura.

Metaverse Navigation App: Palace found. Two more key words are needed to begin navigation to palace.
