Chapter 37: The Pyramid

Ext. Desert – Moments Later

Instead of the attic of Café Leblanc, The Phantom Thieves are now standing in the middle of a desolate desert, with the sun beating down on them, from above. The Phantom Thieves are not in their Phantom Thieves attire but, rather, they are still in their regular clothing. The Phantom Thieves begin to take in their surroundings and Morgana, who's in this anthropomorphic form is the first one to speak.

Morgana: Man, it's hot as fucking balls out here!

Ann Takamaki: Real classy, Mona.

Ann notices that she's still wearing her normal clothes that she was wearing back at the attic of Café Leblanc.

Ann Takamaki: Huh? I'm still in my regular clothes?

Morgana: I guess that means Futaba Sakura's shadow either doesn't know we're here, yet, or they don't view us as a threat. Also, Panther, for your information, I am one classy mother fucker!

Yusuke Kitagawa: Perhaps, in that case, we can simply walk into Futaba Sakura's palace and steal the treasure without having to deal with any danger at all?

Morgana: Yeah and maybe Panther will trip over a rock and stumble, titties-first, in my face so I can have an excuse to motor boat them. Keep dreaming, buddy!

Makoto shakes her head in disapproval.

Makoto Niijima: Deplorable. Akira, I think Morgana needs to be fixed.

Ann Takamaki: I agree.

Morgana: How dare you bitches talk about removing the thing that makes me a man!

Yusuke Kitagawa: But you're a cat, Mona.

Morgana: Now's not the fucking time, Fox!

Goro Akechi: Uh, if I may interrupt, perhaps we should get a better understanding of where exactly we are? It's obvious that we're in the Metaverse but I highly doubt this vast desert is Futaba Sakura's palace.

Akira Kurusu: Yeah, that's a good point. We should look around and see if we can—

Ryuji Sakamoto: Uh, guys.

Ryuji points to something that's far off in the distance and the rest of the members of The Phantom Thieves turn their attention to where he's pointing. The Phantom Thieves realize that the thing that's far off in the distance is a large pyramid that's shimmering, brightly.

Yusuke Kitagawa: Incredible. It's a pyramid. I've always wanted to paint one. To think that we would find one in the Metaverse. Good job finding this discovery, Ryuji!

Ryuji Sakamoto: Uh, thanks. That's not the reason I pointed it out, though. Remember what Futaba said about how she viewed her room? She mentioned that she thought of it as a tomb, right? Well, aren't there tombs and shit inside of pyramids?

Makoto Niijima: Wow, you're right, Ryuji. Good thinking. I'm impressed. I guess you do pay attention at school, sometimes.

Ryuji Sakamoto: Haha, yeah, I guess. Sometimes I pay attention when the subject interests me but, to be honest, that isn't too often.

Goro Akechi: That pyramid is pretty far off, though. Getting there by foot in this heat will be quite the challenge.

Morgana: Have no fear!

Morgana begins his horrific transformation into the Morgana van as the rest of the members of The Phantom Thieves close their eyes so they don't have to see the unpleasant sight of the transformation. Morgana finishes his transformation into the Morgana ban.
