Everyone was at the dining table having their dinner.
Shiv leaned to Nitya "I am.."
Nitya didn't even look at him "Save it. Let's not discuss our matter in front of guests." She said taking a bite of rice.
"Oh, everything is Nitya's favorite. Is something special today? Don't tell me even our Nitya is giving us good news." Shreya's mother squealed as Nitya and Shivansh's eyes widened.
"Well, not sure about good news," Rashmi said, "but I guess everyone wanted to pamper Nitya today so everyone prepared something for her."
Till now Nitya thought that it was a coincidence but hearing Rashmi made her eyes tear up. She was just grateful for even having these people in her life.
"Your servants make good food," Shobha said in a fake sweet voice.
"Not servants." Revati said "But family members. We all made it for the youngest member of our family." She said not liking that girl's aura.
"Oh really!" She said in a slightly disgusted tone as Chaitra tried to shush her "She might be younger but not a child to pamper." She giggled trying to make it look like a joke.
The entire Yaduvanshi family's eyes went to Nalini as she closed her eyes ready to use her foul mouth to good use while Nitya was confused to see the interaction between everyone.
"Don't tell me darling you don't know it's not age that makes you pampered but your behaviour." Nalini said in a slightly offending voice "Aravind ji" She looked at Nitya's father "I mean she doesn't look younger by facial features but she is younger in the relationship in your house so you should pamper her." She said looking upset for her "I am feeling bad for you. I expected better from Raghavendras." She finished taking a bite of rasam rice.
Drishith coughed to hide his chuckle while others didn't even try. Chaitra pinched Drishith's thigh to stop him but looked like he didn't care.
"Haha you are funny," Aravind said glaring at Shobha who looked humiliated and angry.
"That I am." Nalini giggled winking at Nitya who was still in a trance.
"What just happened?" Nitya said to herself.
"Nalini bua's transition happened," Meera whispered.
And that's how the entire dinner went with some hilarious events. After dinner, everyone sat in the hall trying to catch up with each other, and in no time there were just laughs except for some stupidity of Rahul and her fiancé.
"Nitya beta can you make me a cup of tea please," Rajveer asked Nitya and she instantly stood up with a smile.
At least after all those efforts, the one thing she learned is tea and her father-in-law is obsessed with it. He doesn't leave a moment when he doesn't want to drink tea made by her but everyone knows this is the only thing she could make. But what she missed was Rajveer's signal to Shiv. But before Shiv could even stand, Shobha was already walking towards the kitchen making him curse his luck.
Nitya was in the kitchen and preparing tea for everyone. Once she put the pan on the stove after adding all the ingredients, she started to wait for the boil when she heard footsteps approaching the kitchen and looked at the doorstep to find Shobha.
"Just needed some water." She gave her a small smile.
Taking a glass of water she stood beside Nitya as she spoke "Must be hard for you. From a CEO to a girl making tea for so many people. Such a hard fall you had in life." She tsked and Nitya made a face at her but her words were not great enough to keep her calm.
