Nitya was sleeping in her room when she felt someone's hand caressing her cheek. Feeling hard to open her eyes, she just leaned in the touch until she realized she was in Vizag, not her home with her husband. And her eyes opened instantly, only to see her husband lying beside her.
"Shiv," she whispered, putting her hand on his cheek. "Are you really here?" She confirmed.
"Mmhmmm." He just hummed, caressing her cheek.
"I missed you." She closed her eyes, forgetting every worry.
And again she was asleep in a much more comforting sleep.
Nitya's sleep was disturbed by a continuous knock on her door as she tried to turn in her sleep only to feel a hand on her waist, making her open her eyes instantly.
"Shiv." She almost shouted out loud, making Shiv open his eyes instantly.
"What happened?" Shiv asked worried.
"It wasn't a dream?" She questioned herself.
"No, it wasn't a dream." He answered, still trying to wake up.
Before Nitya could question again, there was another knock on the door. She decided to ask him questions later as she hurriedly opened the door only to see Chaitra's mother.
"Panthulu garu vachesaru, thondharaga kanivvu alage mi aayana tho kindhaki ra." She said politely, while Nitya was shocked to know that everyone knew about his arrival except her. (Nitya, Pandit Ji is already her. Hurry up and come downstairs with your husband.)
She nodded at her closing the door, turning to question her husband, but before that, she was already up against the wall with her hands over her head.
"May I please?" He asked, wanting to taste her after that long 4 days wait.
Instead of nodding, Nitya just leaned in, as he took control over the kiss. This was a much-needed kiss, which they both really needed. Nitya needed it after the trauma she went through and Shiv needed it for all the wait.
Leaning back, Shiv pecked her lips one more time. "My cherry pie, how much have I missed you?" He said putting his forehead on hers.
"I missed you too, Shiv." She hugged him, putting her head on his chest, when she remembered something and looked up at him, "How come you are here and I don't know?" She questioned with squinted brows.
Shiv chuckled, taking her in his arms and walking to the bed "I missed my wife so much." He said sitting on the bed with her on his lap.
"Shiv" She looked at him sternly, as he could just smile.
"Dad got many calls from your dad, so he kind of forced me." He said thinking about something. "It was a no until Drishith called me yesterday." He explained, making Nitya widen her eyes.
"Annaya called you." She asked shocked while he just nodded.
"Did something happen?" Shiv asked kissing her cheek.
Nitya nodded, telling him everything that happened last night, while Shivansh was getting frustrated each second hearing how she had to go through all this because of one person's ego and not being able to accept reality. Nitya was almost in tears as she hugged Shiv.
Shiv took a deep breath, caressing her back while she found comfort in his arms. "Thank you for coming. I really needed you." She said, tightening the hug.
"I am always there when you need me, cherry pie." He caressed her back.
They both stayed in each other's embrace until Nitya looked up at him, "Wait! Annaya told you yesterday, then how come you were here early in the morning?"
