After the meeting, Nitya was sitting in her office thinking about the moment she shared with her husband completely forgetting about the man she met. She happily sipped her coffee, looking at the picture frame of her husband kept there until the intercom rang.

Attending it, she heard the receptionist from the other side, "Good morning, mam. Mr. Kavi wants to meet you, but he seems to have no prior appointment."

Nitya furrowed her brows, not giving much attention to the name until the receptionist repeated it again. "Mr. Kavi Sharma. He said that he is your old friend."

Nitya's eyes widened hearing the name as her hands trembled. She remembered the insults he threw at her before breaking up. She remembered his sinister plan to destroy her mental health, she remembered the betrayal he gave. When she met him this morning, she didn't react in front of Shiv, and later Shiv's gesture made her totally forget about him, but his sudden appearance in her life was unsettling.

"Should I send him in?" The receptionist asked.

"Yes," Nitya fumbled on her words, remembering how much of a shameless person he is, and if she didn't call him inside, he might cause drama outside, and she didn't want to spread rumors.

If it were before, she might not have cared and threw him out, but now she was married. Her one action could break or build her relationship, and she didn't want to do anything that could bring any kind of humiliation to her husband or in-laws.

She gulped down the glass of water, wiped off the sweat, and took some deep breath to control her emotions and not show him the effect he had on her while walking back and forth.

As the door to her cabin opened, the scared Nitya was gone and replaced by the furious businesswoman. She looked at the door to see the man entering, whom she loved like anything 2 years ago, only to know he was just using her to get her friend.

"Hello girlfriend." He waved his hand from the door, showing his teeth, wearing a yellow check shirt with skinny jeans which were ending above his ankle.

Nitya scrunched her nose seeing his dressing sense, which seemed to be lost in some gutter after their breakup. It's not like he used to dress any better before, but at least she bought him some good clothes.

"What are you here for?" She asked, sitting on her chair without even asking him to sit.

"Feisty, I see." He chuckled, and Nitya could just roll her eyes at him, knowing how easy it is for him to get on her nerves.

"If you have nothing to say, then you can gladly leave."

"You know very well how much I hate this attitude." He gritted his teeth.

"And you think I care about your likes or dislikes."

Kavi controlled his anger and looked at her with a fake yet disgusting smile. "You changed a lot, I see. Leave it, Let's focus on what I came here for." He smirked, bringing out his phone, when his eyes went to the frame on her table.

It was a picture of her and Shivansh with Shivansh head on her lap taken on the night of the terrace gathering of youngsters.

"Hmm, you seem happy." He snickered as Nitya instantly turned the frame, hiding from his evil eyes.

"Of course I am happy. He is not like you, who use a woman to get another one." She said it in a disgusted tone.

Kavi walked to her, laughing evilly, "But you are like me." He smirked making her furrow brows. "That's why your husband doesn't know about me. Isn't that why you ignored me this morning?" He said, putting gum in his mouth, "Aren't you like me too? Look at you, you are using him to forget me. Isn't that cheating too?"
