Nitya was standing outside her home in Vizag. She remembered how this morning her husband urged to drop her at Raghavendra's home, but after a lot of talks, he finally agreed to just drop her at the airport. Kshitij also had to stay back because of the upcoming meetings. She took a deep breath, walking inside the house, ready to face her oh so great family one more time and maybe last.
She entered inside to see no one except maids when one of them noticed her.
"Mam," One of the maids brought water to her while she closed her eyes, irritated with her family who didn't have basic decency to at least show up.
She politely shook her head, walking towards her room to get some rest. Once in her room, she called Shivansh first and later on went to sleep as it was strictly ordered by her husband.
It was dinner time when a maid came to wake her up. She didn't want to go downstairs and asked for her food in the room only, but her happiness didn't last long when the maid told her that Aravind asked her to come downstairs.
"I am coming," Nitya told her as she left.
Once the maid was out of the room, she fell back on the pillow, screaming her lungs out in frustration.
She didn't want fights on the first day only, so she stood up, washed her face, and went downstairs ready to face them.
Once on the dining table, she noticed her father, her elder brother who looked shocked, and her younger brother who was not interested at all in anything.
"Why didn't Shivansh come?" Aravind asked.
But before she could even reply, Drishith interrupted them, "Wait! Why has no one informed me Nitya is coming home?" He asked his father, who looked away, not wanting to answer his question.
Nitya shrugged her shoulders while serving her plate. "Nanna called dad, asking me to visit."
Drishith looked at his father, who decided to ignore all this as he again asked her, "Why didn't Shivansh visit?"
Drishith looked down angrily, taking his plate and going to his room, while Nitya looked at his back, deciding to ask him everything as soon as possible and then leaving this place.
"He has a business to handle." She replied in order to put an end to her father's question.
Aravind nodded "Great. I heard he will be the CEO of the food and manufacturing industry soon. It would be great for us." He smiled to himself while Nitya looked at his greedy self. Finishing her food as fast as possible, she quickly left the dining table, not wanting to be in his presence for any more minutes.
While going back to her room, she heard Drishith calling her
"Nitya"
She turned back to see him walking to her.
"Yes?" She asked him, unsure what he was going to talk about.
"You want to meet Chaitra?" He asked with his hand fidgeting, looking at her with nervous eyes.
"Is she at home already?" She asked shocked, hoping for her to be still in the hospital. It's been more than 2 weeks since her delivery but she was not sure if Chaitra is back home or not because of some complication arised during her delivery. She got to know about all this when Drishith informed her about the birth. It was already 2 weeks since his son's birth but they decided to not inform anyone as their son was too critical and in I.C.U but once he was out safely, they informed her. At first Drishith wanted to let Nitya know but they knew even though her relation with the family is not good but still she will be worried for her nephew so they decided to let things be in their pace and later inform her.
