55. A date

After some days

Everyone was sitting at the table having their food, while Aashrit and Meera were having their food in their room.

It was a ritual for the new mother to not have heavy food for a month and also not do any heavy work or walk stairs. So it was decided that she will have her light food in her room with any of the family members, and she will stay in a room allocated downstairs only because any strain on her body part might cause her problem in old age. And once Aashrit got to know about this, he made sure to follow each and every rule and even decided to eat the same food as his wife, which is mostly porridge or bland food, to support her in this journey. The one month was about to end, and Aashrit and Meera soon would be living their normal lives again.

"I am waiting for Shreya's delivery. It would be fun to see Abhi eat that bland food." Nitya giggled, waiting for food.

"It would be." Shreya giggled with her.

While Abhi just rolled his eyes "It would be fun for me too because you will be going through the same thing some day. And I would make sure to eat some tasty food in front of you." Abhi made faces at her.

Nitya's face went red instantly on hearing children, and she remembered what deed they would have to do to have kids making her look down at her food.

"Bhai, don't give her ideas because you will be going through all this first." Revati giggled.

Nitya didn't speak a word, only to see her husband coming to the breakfast table with a plate in his hand. Shiv decided to make some dosa for his wife just because he wanted to spoil her.

Soon dosa was served, and a tasty aroma filled the dining room table.

"Thank you." Nitya made puppy eyes at him while he just chuckled at her.

"I am just making sure that I am worthy to be your husband." He smiled at her serving her.

"You are more than worthy, Shiv."

Shiv chuckled as they both started having their breakfast while others just adored the couple.

"So Shiv, Aashrit told me that you will be getting the responsibility of the food industry as CEO." Rajveer said as everyone looked at Shiv.

"Yeah, it will be decided after today's presentation."

"I know you will do good." Rajveer smiled at him.

And soon everyone was off to work. Nitya decided to drop Shiv off at the office just because she wanted to. Once in front of their office, Shiv took his bag and looked at his wife, expecting a bye kiss, only to get a deep kiss.

"If you do well in the presentation, then I will take you on a date." Nitya said, leaning back, making Shiv chuckle.

"Well, I wouldn't miss the date with such a beautiful girl by any chance." He chuckled with her.

"So I will be picking you up in the evening, Mr. CEO." She giggled as Shiv just pulled her.

Instead of getting down, Shiv looked at her, smiling while she raised her brows at him. "Can you take leave? Can you be with me till the meeting starts?"

Nitya looked at him as her eyes widened "Oh, I am such a bad wife. I should have offered it to you already, and here you are telling them this." She slapped her forhead, "Let's go." She unfastened her seatbelt as Shiv happily got down with her.

While walking inside, everyone's eyes were on the couple. As much employees loved their other two bosses, Shiv was their favorite because of his approachable nature, and seeing him with his wife was like a treat to everyone's eyes as his smile never wavered with his wife. Although the couple was busy with each other, the entire office was looking at them in awe. They didn't miss the slightest gesture of Shiv always holding his wife's hand or Nitya never wavering her eyes from her husband.
